What was your degree in and what is your job now?

I am looking for inspiration as my ds has very different interests to me and dh. We are both engineers and not really sure what other career paths there are. Degrees such as marketing or politics and economics for instance. What career paths do they lead to.

BSc in Maths with Economics.
Trained as a chartered accountant after graduating and remained in the profession.

Degree in business and work in the investments industry.

Theology degree.
Work as an IT Programme Manager.

Archaeology and Ancient History.

I'm a catering assistant.

Business and I'm a chartered accountant.

MFL

Me - Film, Drama and Education. Retired Civil Servant.
DS - Spanish, French and German. Head of Modern Languages in a large Secondary School.

History. I’m now in marketing.

HR Mgt. HR.

Genetics degree, genomics job 🙂

Law - now lawyer.

I barely ever use anything I learnt on my law degree though!

Law degree, lpc, became a paralegal and qualified through cilex so now a chartered legal executive.

Degree in English. Now work as an employment coach.

Degree : Information and Library Studies

Retraining: Stage Management and Technical Theatre Foundation Degree

Now: Theatre/Opera Stage Manager

(Outs self to anyone that knows me - I'm pretty sure I'm the only person with this combination of degree/job)

I was going to do this as my degree but ended up not going to Uni at 18.

Finally went as a mature student. BsC Social Work...worked as a Social Worker but recently took a lower graded post as assistant.

History degree, tried teaching, now work as a Security Consultant.

Zoology, now work in Sustainability.

BA in History, MA in Early Modern History, Master of Public Administration. Mainly civil service, and public and third sector management, but I had a public and private sector career before I went to university in my 30s.

Psychology. Am a Probation Officer but based in a prison currently

BA Social policy and administration with a PGCE added on 18 years later. Worked as a teacher and now civil service
