What was your degree in and what is your job now?

I am looking for inspiration as my ds has very different interests to me and dh. We are both engineers and not really sure what other career paths there are. Degrees such as marketing or politics and economics for instance. What career paths do they lead to.

BA Fine Art, MSc Computer Science. Work in Finance, in various types of change delivery role.

BSc Physics.

I own a tutoring company.

BSc Psych.
Masters in Mental health.

Cleaner.

History, I'm a software developer. I'm not the only one who did this path either, I've met a few other historians in IT.

Politics degree.

Senior charity leadership

Creative Writing and Critical Practices.

I write novels.

MSc in Project and Programme Management used to work in business change management and IT.

Did English Lit degree. Senior Probation Officer. Manage Approved Premises.

I'm a secretary.

Drama - drama teacher and youth theatre director

Primary studies with QTS now an L&D manager

English degree - I'm an editor.

Pharmacy degree - now ( and always ) working as a pharmacist but have done clinical pharmacy, asceptics management, managing a community pharmacy, primary care, GP practice and Integrated Care Board over the 40 odd years.

Arts degree (painting)

Now I'm a Production Manager in TV/Documentaries.

(funnily enough when I was a teen I did one of those career aptitude tests and was v disappointed when it recommended I go into a managerial role)

BEd(Hons) - I’ve been a teacher for over 37 years 😀

I've been a nurse for 20 years. Currently having to do a degree. In 'Leadership and innovation in nursing' it's so dull
And I hate it! But my trust is funding it so I have to be grateful. It will make no difference to my job!

I work in publishing, but I worked as a librarian for a chunk of my 20s.

BA geography and education, worked as a countryside ranger, environmental education.

Another one for archaeology! I am a college lecturer.

History and now a software tester so similar path.

Job as NHS hospital director

Ph.d in anthropology. MSW in social work. Now a licensed clinical social worker and therapist.

Law and German. I’m a solicitor.
