What was your degree in and what is your job now?

I am looking for inspiration as my ds has very different interests to me and dh. We are both engineers and not really sure what other career paths there are. Degrees such as marketing or politics and economics for instance. What career paths do they lead to.

BA: English Lit and Theatre
Postgrad Certificate in Technical Theatre.
MA in Shakespeare
PhD in Cultural Capital/Theatre
Am a full time theatre director for a large regional theatre.

@MidnightMusing5 I don't earn as much as I did as a doctor, at all, but there are jobs out there on that sort of pay. Plus I don't have my chartered status or masters yet, once I do then we will see.

Interesting. You are obviously academic and have interest in the mind and mental health so why did you choose to be a cleaner? Is it purely because it fits?

Applied for loads of jobs, but eventually gave up and took a (mind numbingly boring) cleaning job. My boss has no idea I have been to Uni.

Degree in History and MA in Medieval Studies. I was a lawyer, but now do general back office and finance stuff for a small company or two.

DH did Maths and is now a computer engineer in financial services.

Me: BA(Hons)Education and Early Childhood Studies - now school attendance officer.

DH: handful of CSE's (we're that old)! He earns a lot more than me!
