Watched 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' last night with DCs and the dance scene still absolutely cracks me up.
Reminds me of what the posters on the MN Strictly threads call contempo waft 😆

Which film or TV scenes do it for you?
Links welcome!

Agree with many already mentioned - IT Crowd Theatre Outing, Frasier Little People episode stands out as well as the already mentioned Big Nose one, The Odd Couple, Curb. The Murder in Successville episodes with Jamie Laing and Richard Osman always make me laugh. Also Mick Jagger and Keith Richards running the corner shop in Stella Street.

Yes! My favourite in Stella Street was Mick and Keef in the corner shop.

I remembered another one: In the film "The Odd Couple" where they go to a bar. Jack Lemon is a very fastidious man and it's too cold, it's irritating his sinuses, and he goes through thos bizarre ritual of balancing the pressure. I've cried laughing at that.

Blackadder always makes me LOL

WW2 series 'stick two pencils up your nose and say Wibble' It's the way he says 'Wibble' Plus the way Stephen Fry says 'Darling' throughout

Also the Puritans scene with Miriam Margoles where everyone winds up wearing fake boobs is epic and any of the scenes with Rik Mayall as Flasheart 'woof woof'

The losing your virginity scene from Marooned in Red Dwarf. Comic genius 😁

Several moments in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

  1. When Steve Martin and John Candy have to sleep together and realise they were cuddling.

  2. When they realise their car is on fire.

  3. When a guy gives them a lift, yells at his wife to get out the car and help with their luggage and tells them she gave birth sideways!

@ThePure

I got the box set recently and have been enjoying it all again but of course when they went 'over the top' I cried again!

@ExquisiteSocialSkills
Yes to Mick and Keith in Stella Street!!!

MissRoseDurward · 05/01/2025 18:13

...but of course when they went 'over the top' I cried again!

I watched that with my mum and we both just sat there in silence afterwards. If there was a vote for 'best ending of a series', that would have to be at or near the top.

I watched that when it was first shown on TV when I was in my teens (showing my age) and rushed upstairs to my bedroom afterwards to bawl my eyes out. It's so moving.

Jebus , that series annoyed me ; so formulaic .
'FBC , U&E , Type and X match , dip , CXR , MRI and MCAT scan ...STAT' . Every time . Then two of the SHOs go to search Unconscious Patient's house for clues .
And no-one ever answers that bloody phone in Intensive Care .

Ah. Thank you

Radio:
Hut 33, especially Minka’s sudden appearances and Mrs Best’s “I’ve had him.” when any important politician/Military leader (English and German) is mentioned.
Most of Mark Steel’s In Town and ‘I’m Sorry, I Haven’t A Clue’ especially the older ones with Humphrey Littleton.
edited for typo

Derry Girls.

Where Clare comes out to Erin as a lesbian.

Erin: "What? You mean you fancy girls?"
Clare: "Well, that is sort of an entry level requirement."

Makes me laugh 'til I cry.

Carpool Karaoke with Chris Martin, where he stops the music to ask what lyrics JC was singing during 'Viva La Vida'.
It's when JC sings "A few cherished little bells are ringing" but it's supposed to be "I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing" and Chris says "Well that's I sing, you can sing whatever you like" 🤣🤣🤣 @6.50
It will never not have me cracking up 😂
