Watched 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' last night with DCs and the dance scene still absolutely cracks me up.
Reminds me of what the posters on the MN Strictly threads call contempo waft 😆

Which film or TV scenes do it for you?
Links welcome!

The bit on the bus where Max and Paddy are testing their walkie talkies “Can you hear me now?”

Geraldine’s puddle jump in Vicar of Dibley.

Also in Vicar of Dibley my all time favourite joke was one Geraldine told Alice in that bit they always had at the end of the programme:
Two nuns are driving along a lonely road at midnight in Transylvania when suddenly a vampire jumps out and blocks the road.
One nun says to the other “Quick, quick, show him your cross”
and the other nun shouts out of the window “Get out of the way you toothy git!”

Every single episode of Dinnerladies. It is my favourite tv programme ever.

Oh god you've just reminded me of Phoenix Nights, the family fun day episode with the tiger face paint and THAT inflatable 😆

Or the I can't believe it's not butter monologue.

The Alice and Geraldine chats at the end were always hilarious.

I’d forgotten about Phoenix Nights - that bit does crack me up. It never seems to be shown on TV anymore.

i rewatched the whole of “Gimme Gimme Gimme” recently, Cathy Burke cracks me up

I’d forgotten about Phoenix Nights too loved it. It was when the horse got pissed and they said what shall we do and one said buy him a kebab. Genius,

ExquisiteSocialSkills · 03/01/2025 19:04

Star Stories was hilarious although a bit harsh at times.

Love the The Peep show toast thing too, especially as he hovers his knife over the slots in toaster while he’s waiting.

Anythingyousay · 03/01/2025 19:31

None of Peter Kay's shows are available for streaming but have recently found Phoenix Nights on YouTube.

BG2015 · 03/01/2025 19:32

Friends - when Phoebe pretends to seduce Chandler after finding out about him and Monica!

Love it.

One of my faves!

Loads in It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia. Stand outs are Charlie on a date "Philanthropist" 🤣

And the Lethal Weapon 7 ep.

Where did it come from?

No country specifically...

OhshitSharon · 04/01/2025 12:43

When Ricky Gervais lets off the air horn and scares the crap out of his brother in law in Afterlife, don't know why but it stuck in my head and still makes me randomly laugh whenever it pops into my head.

therewasafishinthepercolator · 04/01/2025 12:53

All of Black Books.

Loved Bernard doing his accounts.

And

You know Jimbo.
I don't know. What do you do?
He's our son.
Oh thank God. I thought you had a disease.

LoveACoffeeMorning · 04/01/2025 14:20

@Anythingyousay ...yes !! Forgotten about Phoenix Nights....what about when he's going upstairs with a woman and he is slowly creaking up on the stair lift saying " you just wait until I get you up these stairs. The things I'm going to do to you !"
Absolute lol

Peep Show is amazing! Littered with great laughs. One of my favourites is when Super Hans is explaining the rules of the house share and ends by saying "....we do peg and reuse the teabags " The way he says it, emphasising the 'peg' is so funny

Justsaywhatyoumean123 · 04/01/2025 14:44

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

"We'll install a jukebox in here"

Love Alan Partridge.

When he woke from a sleep with ".....fight you...." always gets me. 😆

Leslie Knope’s political rally on an ice rink in Parks & Rec.

Prob. still works in isolation but I reckon it’s funniest when viewed in the context of the whole season episode.

That scene is brilliant. I love Parks and Recs.
