How quickly after meeting did you marry or have a child?

And if it was really quickly are you still together? We were engaged, married and had a child born within the first year 😮 didn’t seem crazy at the time but definitely would in today’s world.

Same with me and DH.

19, while at university. Married three years later and first child born a year after that. 42, happily rubbing alone together. No regrets.

5 years for child and 6 for marriage. Met at 30 had first child at 35. Still together at 39 with 2 children.

First child after 7 years and married after 9 years.

Married after 7 years (got together as teens), first child after 12 years together. Fell on first try, we just weren't ready for a while!

Less than 3 months to getting engaged aged 23. Came off contraception at 5 months. Married after 1 year and 4 months. Baby after 2 years and 1 month. If it makes any difference we had known each other a few years prior really well and had been good friends but then lost contact. Then we met up to a catch up and that was it!

This year we will have been married 12 years and very happy together.

Got together at 18 and 22 in 2007, married after 2 years. First baby born when we'd been together 4 years. Bonkers now I think about it really, but absolutely no regrets. Still together and happy

Together 2 months, found out we were pregnant (wasn’t an accident). Engaged the following July had our DD the November and have just married in August.

We moved in together, renting a flat, very quickly after 4 months of going out together, I was 23, DH 27. We'd known each other for six months before that though.

We bought a house together first, two years after moving in together.

We got married a further three years after buying a house. Then had DD1 a year later, DD2 4 years after DD1.

We've been married for 20 years and together for 25 years.

Childhood sweethearts here! Together for 7 years before we married and for 15 years before we had our first child.

We’ve been together 20 years this year, are happier than we’ve ever been and really glad we had all that time as a couple to grow our relationship before having kids!

Met at uni aged 20, engaged after 9yrs together, married at 15yrs together then had dd at 16yrs together, 11 years ago, together 27 years in total, still love him to bits, but we have had some awful times to weather over those years.

Proposed at the year mark, married a month later, children after 9 years (though we were trying for eight) fiftieth wedding anniversary this year.

Together but unmarried 3 weeks after meeting. Together but unmarried 19 years before we had a child-23 before we had another one. Still together unmarried 40 years and counting .

Engaged around two months, married 18 months after we met. First DC five years after we married.

We're not far off being together now for 30 years and will have been married 29 years late summer. Very lucky, no reason to believe we won't stay together.

Met at 16. Together for 11 years (not married). Abusive & now realise he raped me the night we met & I felt I had to stay with him (conditioning from upbringing- only sleep with one man). We did have a nice home but he was very controlling & I couldn't choose my own clothes. When I was promoted at work I was accused of sleeping with the boss & beaten.

One day I left. Lost everything but my freedom (it was very hard & some of my family are still friends with him). Thankfully no children.

Lived on my own for a year.

I then met and married my DH within a year, first child a year later. We have been happily married for 32 years, My DH has never raised a hand to me or our children. He is a decent, honest and genuine person. There are some out there. ❤️

Engaged within 2 months. Married at two years, divorced after a year!

Current DP and I have been together nearly 4 years. Living together after 2 years, no engagement or marriage yet. Happy, very happy!
