How quickly after meeting did you marry or have a child?

And if it was really quickly are you still together? We were engaged, married and had a child born within the first year 😮 didn’t seem crazy at the time but definitely would in today’s world.

Married after 3 years but he moved in after 5 months.

one child after 6 years together, (2.5 married)

divorced after 10 years together, (6.5 married.)

Can I ask how long ago you were married?

I'm just curious because you say it was a different time.

I can't think of when getting pregnant within a few months of dating and getting married was not somewhat shocking?

I noticed my hometown friends got married and settled down earlier than my city friends.

I was the last of my island friends, and the first of my city friends.

Our relationship has developed pretty quickly and is recent. We started dating after 17m, bought a house after 1 year together, 1st baby after 2 years together, married after 3 years together, 2nd baby after 3.5y together. Together 6y so far.

Met at 21 & 29 - 1st baby 2 years later, 2nd baby 4 years later & still happily together six years later :)

Met first week August 2019, got a house together first week September 2019 and got rid of our separate houses, married Sepeprember 30th 2019 and now have 4 kids and happy as anything. When you know you know.I just turned 40 he is 39 and we are loving our life 😊

1.5 years after meeting we were married
5 years in baby 1, 7 in baby 2. But the year before the first we had miscarriages.

still together even though his family would love the opposite 🤣

Moved in after 6 weeks, married and a baby just after 2 years. Just celebrated 30 years married

Engaged after five years, first baby born just before six years. Second baby born nine years after meeting. I knew when we decided to conceive our first child that he would work hard to contribute fairly to the domestic labour.
Having young children is at times still rough on our relationship but I think all the good times spurred us on and kept us together.

Ours didn’t move that fast though it could have - moved in together after just under a year and ttc from a month or two after that.

Just happened that it took us 4 years to conceive - and we didn’t get married until that point.

Together nearly 10 years now.

Engaged after 10 months.
Married a further 15 months later - so we'd known each other just over 2yrs. I guess that's not THAT quick tbf. However we were very young which made it more unusual.

Didn't have first child for years after though, like 4.5 years after we married (planned).

We celebrated our 10 yr wedding anniversary recently. But we are still young! But still happily married 3 kids later and long may it continue!

Talking about marriage- after 5-6 months.

Got married after 12 months and had 1st DC after 2 years. (I was late 20's he early 30's)
Been married 20 odd years ... still going strong!

We got married on our second anniversary, our daughter then came home nine months later, we had expected an 18-24 month wait so hadn’t considered it may have been so much sooner between starting the process for another child and them actually coming home.

Engaged 2 weeks after we met, married 6 months after that, baby came 9 months after the wedding and was 3 months old at our first wedding anniversary. This year will celebrate 22 wedding anniversary, D's 21 b'day and DD 19. Very happily married

Child about 12 years after we got together. We were 23/24, just finished uni and in absolutely no rush to start a family - far too young and skint!
