Do you regularly have an afternoon nap?

And if so what time and for how long?

Considering trying to make this a habit, as insomnia is taking its toll

Only really when ill but i work full time so get home then have to do diner/clubs etc. I do love a nap so not against it but would need to be in bed with an alarm set.

In the days I'm not working (long days) I do. I am autistic though and get v v fatigued.

HilariousNames · 01/01/2025 23:42

I hate sleeping during the day . I don’t do it unless I’m ill.

Of course - you get so much more out of your day if you’re springing about in the evenings.

2 hours ish about 3 manages thyroid crash and a ragbag of immune diseases very well, thank you.

When DD goes for her snooze 12:30-2 I quite often nap 😴 too 🫣

catkatcatkat · 02/01/2025 00:16

No as I struggle to sleep at night and think this would be counterproductive.

Temporaryanonymity · 02/01/2025 00:30

My grandmother napped in her armchair every day after lunch. She lives until 101 so there’s got to be something in it so I grab a snooze where I can.

whiteboardking · 02/01/2025 01:14

God yes before kids every weekend afternoon. I worked long hours and went out a lot

Mrsbloggz · 02/01/2025 01:17

Only if I'm ill.

DramaAlpaca · 02/01/2025 02:03

Oh gosh yes. I get home from work and fall asleep for an hour. I need it. I grab a mug of tea, set my alarm and cuddle up with the dog. Then I'm fine for the rest of the evening.

Thankfully I no longer have small children demanding my time, and nobody minds. I just love my naps.

WellsAndThistles · 02/01/2025 02:08

Would love to but work gets in the way.

Insomnia sucks, it's gone 2am and it's the wide awake club for me. Genuinely don't know how I survive on as little sleep.

SplendidUtterly · 02/01/2025 02:12

Yes. But i never day napped until i had Covid, twice. Now i need to.

4intheCorner · 02/01/2025 12:50

Yes, love a good nap of 2-3 hrs. I can have several a day, but I do suspect I have narcolepsy so there is that 🤷‍♀️
