I have a few hours to myself tomorrow and need a good cry. Any film recommendations?

You’ve had some great suggestions OP - we’re here to listen if you want to tell us anything.

my suggestion is Goodnight Mr Tom - it’s on ITVX

Oh yes, Goodnight Mr Tom. Lovely but so so sad.

I'll also suggest Dear Zachary, although it's more of a documentary than a film film.

I always have a good old fashioned sentimental weep at ET.

Finding Neverland is a weepie and very good.

Different kind of weeping but I started crying in the first five minutes of I, Daniel Blake and basically didn't stop.

Late to the thread, but I watched The English Patient again recently, and sobbed.

What did you end up watching OP?

I have not seen Beaches either and it's been recommended so many times here, so I think I need to give it a whirl.

I cannot watch any dog film. Hatchi and 8 below. I can start crying at the beginning as I know what is coming.

Edited to add in one I watched earlier this year. Wild Robot. It's animated, but that one is a tear jerker for any parent.

Both ‘Father of the Bride’ movies always makes me cry. I think they are funny movies but also sentimental.

Ricki and the Flash
Love Actually
Jojo Rabbit
Mermaids
Dumbo

I started watching green mile but couldn't (or didn't) make myself sit still 🤦‍♀️
I'm ok, thanks PP. Will probably come on for a rant at some point, going through a difficult time but got family and friends around me supporting. Thank you.
Lots of suggestions on here for future, thanks everyone.

Not a film but A Small Light on Disney is heart rending.

Also Marley and Me.
