I just saw a familiar man walking into The Ritz. He was warmly welcomed on the door by a member of staff.

I've seen him on TV a few times, but can't think who he is!

I've read the whole thread and got to the penultimate page because that was my first thought and I didn't want to repeat a guess.

A lot of those people mentioned are much older than 50s! Mind you MPW must be 60s.

I meant to quote the poster who suggested Marco Pierre White.

There is a tv auctioneer that fits this description on shows like Bargain Hunt but his name escapes me and google not helping .
