What European country would you move to in a heartbeat?

If you had the chance to. Feel free to be more specific as some countries have wide regional disparities. I would move to Belgium.

Denmark without a second thought, I'd leave everything behind if I had to!

GettingStuffed · 12/11/2024 21:25

Greece, probably one of the quieter islands.

localnotail · 12/11/2024 21:33

Italy! ))

JingsMahBucket · 12/11/2024 21:34

France.

Ladyswhatlunch · 12/11/2024 21:35

Monaco, when I win the lottery I’m off!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 12/11/2024 21:35

Finland. One of the bigger cities though or on a trainline. I would happily live in Helsinki if someone bought me a house there.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/11/2024 21:37

The Netherlands

hanali · 12/11/2024 21:37

Dunno. I would struggle as I can't speak any foreign languages but if language wasn't an issue, or money, then probably a Greek Island.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 12/11/2024 21:45

Spain. I speak Spanish and have lived there before.

OliviaRodrighost · 12/11/2024 21:46

I was about to say Belgium! It's quite similar to the UK in many ways, it's probably not worth moving there for that reason. I've spent a lot of time in a couple of countries, France and elsewhere and wouldn't move there for anything, not because they aren't beautiful, but more because I would struggle to be me in them, I don't think I'd fit with the culture.

Cameroptera · 12/11/2024 22:08

Sicily

catsnore · 12/11/2024 22:17

France, Spain, Italy, Greece ☀️

cheapskatemum · 12/11/2024 22:20

Portugal for me! Lots of sun sea & sand, relatively cheap, beautiful old buildings, all the fresh fish & seafood you can eat.

DogInATent · 12/11/2024 22:20

Brittany in France, or Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.

MixedCouple2 · 12/11/2024 22:21

If money was no issues then Santorini is lovely! But I also like the scenery in Switzerland beautiful country.

Gingerisgoodforyou · 12/11/2024 22:22

Italy - somewhere in the north.

I'd love the hot summers, and snow/ skiing in the winter. Beautiful food, easy overland travel to France, Croatia etc, amazing scenery. Would love to live there if I didn't need to work or consider kids school (and bloody Brexit allowed it).

poetrylover · 12/11/2024 22:23

Ive not been to all of them. So I think I'd spend a year or two travelling around to see which I liked best. Then I'd probably flit between Spain and Greece.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 12/11/2024 22:23

I speak French, German, Spanish and a bit of Italian, so there are quite a few countries I could easily live in. I wouldn't particularly want to though. If I did, I'd probably choose Germany. I find the Germans easier to get on with!

Growlybear83 · 12/11/2024 22:26

Spain, preferably Fuerteventura.

Lisanoonan · 12/11/2024 22:26

Switzerland or denmark
