What European country would you move to in a heartbeat?

If you had the chance to. Feel free to be more specific as some countries have wide regional disparities. I would move to Belgium.

Been looking at jobs i could apply for in Poland since this thread started and dusting off my pimsleur cds, maybe something I might looked to at least try and do in a year or so.

Oh, do you have a personal connection or is it just a country like appeals to you? I think Warsaw is lovely.

Part of Portugal, in the Atlantic off the African coast.

@exhauste off to Vienna at New year- no idea why we haven't been before but looks excellent

Vienna is fantastic, enjoy!

Crikeyalmighty · 19/11/2024 10:04

@sharpclawedkitten indeed- we know a German who lives there and he described it as funky like Berlin but massively more attractive -

Actually living somewhere is very different to going there on holiday. I've lived in France and Italy and while I love them both and could happily spend a few months each year in either country, I wouldn't want to move there full time. The bureaucracy is just too draining and socially it's hard, even if you speak the language(s).

Wherever they did the surfing during the Paris Olympics. That's Europe, right Grin

Property is expensive in Naples though. Not quite London levels but mid-hundreds of thousands of Euros for an apartment in a posh location, eg Mergellina and Vomero. And millions for a house in Posillipo.

Never knew this!!!

Ah, the links have to be cut & pasted, they don’t work if you click them.
