What side of the bed do you sleep on?

In relation to your bedroom door?
I need help to settle a debate with a friend.
I say most men sleep by the door, and most women away from. Could be sexist claptrap but I think I'm onto something.

It works best if you have the whole bed to starfish in. Your top half is sort of slightly off to one side because you do need to be able to breathe!

Position of the door doesn't come into it.
I sleep on my side.
In this house, that's away from the door, previous house door side.....
I've probably spent longer in houses on the door side than not.

DH goes to bed last so he goes doorside. We were the otger way round pre-kids but i often go to sleep as soon as all the kids are down as the odds are I won't be getting a full night!

I sleep on the right hand side (looking from the foot of the bed, with DH to my right when I'm in bed) regardless of where that is in relation to the door. It was door side in our last house but not in our current one.

Always on the right side of the bed regardless of location. I get restless leg in my right and like to be able to hang it out of the side and jiggle it about without getting completely out of bed.

On the right usually, which in every home I've lived in has been closest to the door, but when we go to PIL I sleep on the left closest to the door but also closest to DS' room. We went to a spa recently and I slept on the left by the window farthest from the door.

I use the whole bed, I’m fidgety even in my sleep. It’s king size and I’ve woken up sideways on occasion. I could never commit to one side.

I sleep on the left always - at home and away, regardless of where the door is.

never thought about the door. But if you look facing the bed (which is actually where the door is, on the opposite wall to the bed) I am on the right, and was also on the right in our previous two houses, which happened to be on the “door” side

So looking back I have always slept on the right whether by the door or not.

Left side of the bed, away from the door and nearest to the window. Window open all night, however.

The left and even though DH is no longer here I still can't sleep on his side of the bed.

We have two bedrooms. When we were in one bedroom I’m on the left, in the other I’m on the right. In both cases he is closer to the door.
When we stay anywhere else then he is usually closer to the door.

I sleep on the left, him on the right. I’m nearest the door in this house, he was in the last house. We don’t swap depending on where the door is.

The left as you look at the bed from the end. DH has always nearest the door but in the house the bed faces the door so we are both nearest.

I sleep on half of my stomach and one tit with one leg straight and one at a 90° angle.
But I do have a set up of pillows to ensure maximum comfort for my Lovely Lady Lumps.
