Are there still any around?

They are!! There’s one in Kings Lynn. There used to be on in Peterborough and last time I went (after a long time of not going) I was really looking forward to a wimpy. But no it closed down.

There's one at a place called Milford Common which is part of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

I'm genuinely surprised that they still exist given the competition.

Yes, our local one closed for about a year and then reopened. Which is interesting as the McDs closed too presumably lack of business but a Taco Bell opened in its place.

I used to love Wimpys, many a happy childhood memory spent in there. Was gutted when I last went to the one in Nottingham and it had closed down!

I used to love our local one but I haven’t been in it for at least 35 years and I don’t know anyone else that has. No idea how it is still open.

There is one in Birkenhead, Merseyside. We've been once or twice. I wish there were more, I love Wimpy.

I think there's still one in Beckenham, and in Orpington.

I like our local one, table service, food cooked to order, served on proper plates not paper and card, the chips are far better than BK, McDs etc.

I used to really enjoy a Wimpy meal years ago. Much nicer than Miccy D's.

Basingstoke has one. I ate brunch in there last week. So does... I think it was Worthing. Some Sussex seaside town I was in over the summer.

Oh and they still do a spicy beanburger, unlike the others

Last time I had a Wimpy was in Tenby, Pembrokeshire in 2005. There was one in Saundersfoot too. I had the international grill with the burger, bendy sausage and egg. We used to have 2 in Bristol years and years ago. The one on Park Street was quite upmarket with a selection of serve yourself burger relishes in ceramic bowls! I hate McD's with a passion but used to love a Wimpy. Anyone remember their Brown Derby dessert?

Yes, it’s a nice place to get a hot chocolate on Winter dog walks on the Chase.

Lots in costal towns, particularly in the south, and also parts of Essex and Sussex. I went to one in Eastbourne a few months ago and loved the retro feel of it.

Oh wow that's a blast ftom the past for me! Used to love going up to Milford as a kid, I used to cycle ffom our family home in Stafford. I'm glad the wimpy is still there 😊 They did a delicious Knickerbocker glory!

My nearest one would be in Aylesbury. Bit of a trek though.

And one in Eltham

Oh, I so want both of those now. Looks like I'd have to travel about 80 miles just to get it though.
