Elon musk interfered with the election

Well well well led by donkeys have put a video out and my mouth dropped elon musk took over twitter to get donald trump elected again. This video shows how he purposely shoved diff algorithm to Arab voters then to Jewish voters. He pretended to be from kamalas team and put out false misinformation on twitter.
The reason is because donald trump has promised him a job to regulate industry etc which means he will regulate himself so that's good isn't it not.
Also the billion dollar contracts he will give himself now scary world plus here the kicker him and the tech bros encouraged trump to take on vance.
Is not this interference in election illegal?
Plus all this naval gazing as to what the Democrats did wrong i think the other side cheated and this is it

According to a video I saw on tiktok (I know..)
Trump will withdraw troops in Ukraine which will allow Putin to take over.
He and Musk are in cahoots with Putin as all three will benefit from T’s presidency.
There are rumblings that T’s votes were largely rigged, with many voters claiming that their votes have been lost or not counted (apparently in US you can check that your vote has gone through).

Whatever’s going on it’s very concerning.

I do believe that mainstream news sources aren’t reliable and show us what they want us to see (they being God knows who, but it’s easy enough to see this is true), and I believe that SM can be an outlet for actual people going through stuff to share events so can be valuable for sharing news that otherwise is ignored, but it’s also easy for people to make things up and appear as credible, so it’s impossible to know what’s true amongst the propaganda.

There are no US troops in Ukraine, so Trump can't withdraw any.

So that "news" definitely isn't true.

See also the repeated Republican message that Trump wouldn't be allowing US troops to be killled defending Crimea.

Ukraine has never asked for US troops in Ukraine. There aren't any. There are no plans for any. It's a strawman so that, as usual, Trump can claim credit for saving everyone from a peril which was imaginary or created by him in the first place.

Same old same old.

The worrying thing for the UK is that Musk has his eye on Farage/Reform - which would obviously be catastrophic. I blocked Musk ages ago but have deleted the app this week having been on since 2011.....

It infuriated me when Musk was tweeting that he thought a civil war was "inevitable" during the summer riots. The reasons for the unrest in the UK was completely homegrown IMO and I doubt whether Elon Musk's tweets made much difference (we didn't have a civil war). But the idea of a rich billionaire in another country with control over so much information flow basically just trying to egg on violence** in which very ordinary people were having their windows smashed in and their businesses destroyed was obscene. I don't think he even has any political interest in the UK - except when needed to show a political point to his American audience "look how bad it is there" or because he is bored that day and wants to see if he can make a civil war happen. But he has a massive amount of power and I don't see how the UK can stop him without limiting important freedoms and causing further distrust of the government.

**I know that saying something is inevitable isn't the same as saying you want it to happen. But given the context it was, while in the bounds of legal, very much also in the bounds of extreme twattery.

Kamala/Dems had triple the money, most of the legacy media

Kamala had support from Fox News, Sinclair Broadcasting and Rupert Murdoch?

Are you sure?

Indeed. But also somewhere, things that are true . In case you were trying to make a "both sides as bad as the other, lets not worry about it" argument.

PerkingFaintly · 10/11/2024 21:49

MetFarmin · 10/11/2024 21:08

Yes. I’ve seen this too.
Also seen that apparently all involved people are unusually quiet at this time, which may indicate action going on behind the scenes.

I'd wait to see confirmation of this from other sources.

Anyone can make a TikTok claiming anything. Russia would love to see more insurrection and riots in the US, just for the sake of disruption, and Trump winning has removed a very likely source of these.

biscuitandcake · 10/11/2024 21:50

If people are genuinely concerned about the fact that Kamala had raised more money than Trump why aren't they campaigning for spending limits on US elections so that everyone has an equal playing field. Why has Trump never pushed for that despite wanting to "drain the swamp". It would mean there were less relentless political adverts and text messages as well. But strangely, they don't seem to want to to do that...

Yeah, and it doesn't even mean it's coming from "both sides". That's the point about using nicely anonymous social media.

It can all ultimately be coming from the same third party. Ideally laundered through the accounts of real people repeating something that's been fed to them.

I'm not saying any given set of Tweets or TikToks are, but we do need to bear in mind that the field is open, anyone can play.

I think, no matter what your political opinion you are going to be manipulated on spaces like Twitter and be presented with untruths which fit your confirmation bias enough to seem "true". Trolls exist. As does is a type of propaganda which is about churning out so many different versions of reality that eventually people just give up trying and disengage politically. The only solution really is to try to think critically and rationally about everything, and question things that fit your own world view. But not to give up on thinking altogether or fall into weird contrarianism.

PerkingFaintly · 10/11/2024 22:11

Hard agree.

No I wasn’t, but I’d love to know how to learn what’s true and what’s not in the whole mess.

Welcome to the post truth era

Dreamy, isn’t it.

bevelino · 10/11/2024 22:27

I wouldn’t be surprised if Elon Musk runs for presidency at the next election.

NewspaperDoll · 10/11/2024 22:31

He can’t - he wasn’t born in the US.

This guy has some ideas:
I think also, accepting the idea of bounded rationality and being open to the idea of being wrong (while not being blown about by whatever the newest thing you hear is) helps. And that goes back to Socrates. I also think taking knee jerk emotion out as much as possible helps - which is why Twitter is so bad because its instant and asks for an instant reaction. Reading something and then sleeping on it before deciding what you think about it is a much better approach.

the only correct thing you’ve said ⬆️

So you made a judgment and you didn't actually watch the video that is actually typical of your side. You do not watch what is actually there. The evidence in that video is outstanding

Userxyd · 11/11/2024 04:45

Thanks for sharing this @Littlemissgobby - terrifying, depressing to watch.
All of it is scary, with voters being so clearly and so fully manipulated (especially men who want to be "alpha males") but the extent of misogyny resulting in state control of reproductive rights is horrendous - actual handmaids tale in what used to be the worlds second biggest democracy.
So many women's lives will be affected by this- I'm interested in how they manipulated the female vote as that was the surprise result and doesn't seem to be explained, unless it's their votes that were suppressed or went missing/ switched sides?

ThePerkyDuck · 11/11/2024 14:09

Thanks @Littlemissgobby for bringing more attention to this. I am also worried about deregulations that is so much pushed by Trump and Musk. Which means more polluting our waters and environment, less workers rights, more imports of poor quality or even rightfully harmful items. A lot of people will say but what about China. But if you have a high standard of what to import into the country , China will have no choice but to produce less harmful items, less plastic, etc. I am thinking about Shein or Temu as an example. There was an article not long ago where some Shein children’s clothing were taken to the lab and they discovered traces of lead and other harmful chemicals. I also think our science is advanced enough to create a replacement for plastic, that is biodegradable, safe and cheap, but unfortunately all the businesses rely on it and won’t accept to invest in new technologies any time soon.

Microplastics and forever chemicals are already found in people’s bodies: in blood, sperm and even placenta. Which already are interfering with people’s hormones known to cause infertility issues. Deregulations will mean more forever chemicals and microplastics which in a few decades may as well cause more of fertility issues in younger people - therefore the perfect analogy of handmaid’d tale that @Userxyd mentioned.

I mean, some would say an insurrection on the Capitol is more of a sign of sore losers but that seems to have been wiped from memory.

Huh? We won the election so we are not the losers. Get a mirror to help you visually define what a loser is.

Well, after following another post about people leaving the left. I'm telling you now. I am utterly despondent at society and I will say this again and again, I can now see why people were happy to see their neighbours go to concentration camps in Germany. I never thought I would know By understand it now in real time

Indeed, during that period, one man could persuade people that all their hardships are the fault of Jewish people and other ethnic minorities. Now the rhetoric is against trans people, illegal immigrants, doctors that try pushing the bad vaccines, woke mind virus, etc.

Exactly i will be one of the first that end up in the concentration camps.Because honestly, I do tell people to the face exactly what I think get me on politics, I will talk about it and I don't give a s* whether people don't want to hear it or not, because politics influences everything that we do
