Elon musk interfered with the election

Littlemissgobby · 10/11/2024 12:05

Well well well led by donkeys have put a video out and my mouth dropped elon musk took over twitter to get donald trump elected again. This video shows how he purposely shoved diff algorithm to Arab voters then to Jewish voters. He pretended to be from kamalas team and put out false misinformation on twitter.
The reason is because donald trump has promised him a job to regulate industry etc which means he will regulate himself so that's good isn't it not.
Also the billion dollar contracts he will give himself now scary world plus here the kicker him and the tech bros encouraged trump to take on vance.
Is not this interference in election illegal?
Plus all this naval gazing as to what the Democrats did wrong i think the other side cheated and this is it

Thank you, I shall sleep marginally easier tonight.

I know! That was my reaction when I twigged the SA thing!

VimtoVimto · 10/11/2024 16:15

It’s frightening, and the Tesla symbol used in the video is reminiscent of those used in dystopian dramas.

I heard Steve Bannon interviewed this lunchtime about Nato and he was saying that the only member of Nato to stand with the US in the Second World War was the UK and he specifically mentioned that France didn’t. Technically it could be argued he was right (although he ignored that Canada was part of the Allied Forces), but implied the US had been involved from the start, and didn’t mention that France was under enemy occupation.

The absolute irony of the far right claiming we are being manipulated by 'the elites' when they themselves are literal PUPPETS for billionaires.

lol I always think that whatever the right says it’s a confession so whenever they blame the left on things, it’s them it turns out that it wasn’t the left stealing the election, but actually it’s them

In the current form of the populist right in the US and UK, I think there's a lot in this.

I don't think it's an inherent feature, mind.

It's quite possible to be rightwing and behave like a responsible grown-up rather than like a toddler or someone with a personality disorder.

The latter is just where the current US rightwing has chosen to go right now.

FOJN · 10/11/2024 19:34

Littlemissgobby · 10/11/2024 14:55

Hang on before he took over it had fact checkers it was actually trying very hard to get rid of misinformation now I know you don't care because your previous posts show me you are right wing but maybe it's not right to do a Cambridge analytica on folks and actively push shite to them. He put false story about cats and dogs then boom trump picks up on it if uou think it's right to manipulate what is seen . He didn't put kamala tweets as much but he pushed through far right crap. The thing is people didn't know this this video shows everything he has done he should actively be charged with interfering in the election

Edited

Are the fact checkers you're referring to the FBI who, days before the last election, told twitter that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation despite them having been in possession of said laptop since December 2019? The same FBI which was embedded in all the main social media sites and whose claims about Russian disinformation lead to the suppression of a story which 12% of democrat voters said would have changed the way they voted in the 2020 election.

Ah the good old days when rogue government agencies interfered with the public perception of presidential candidates rather than billionaires. Oh hang on, Mark Zuckerberg, a democrat donor, also suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story on Facebook.

No one should be using X for actual news.

Where should people go for “actual news” in your opinion?

lljkk · 10/11/2024 12:12

Does anyone go on Twitter nowadays...ok, obviously some do (I do). But it's not influential any more.

If you think a SM platform made a difference, look at Instagram or FBk or ... Twitter was always niche and Traffic on X has plummeted since Musk too over.

A quick Google search tells me 106 million people in the US use X. It is definitely influential.

MeltdownTears · 10/11/2024 19:49

quoting the OP: You lost me at “led by donkeys” reference pmsl lost any credibility right there. I’ve seen many threads full of crap discussion, laughable analysis and uninformed opinions but this one takes the fucking biscuit. Fucking hell I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I’ll probably laugh.

I mean, some would say an insurrection on the Capitol is more of a sign of sore losers but that seems to have been wiped from memory.

It actually has evidence on the video but I know I know your side doesn't deal with actual facts . Many trump voters don't

The absolute irony of the far right claiming we are being manipulated by 'the elites' when they themselves are literal PUPPETS for billionaires.

Not just billionaires, but arguably 3 of the most powerful and influential people in the world in Trump, Putin and Musk.

Literally dancing to their tune, whilst at the same time, sticking it to the man ✊

Would be fucking comedy gold, if it wasn’t so tragic for… well pretty much everyone on the planet.

Those tariffs; how do you think they’ll effect the average citizen in the USA, or anywhere come to think of it🤔

They say on average 4000 dollars a person in usa so we shall see

According to a video I saw on tiktok (I know..)
Trump will withdraw troops in Ukraine which will allow Putin to take over.
He and Musk are in cahoots with Putin as all three will benefit from T’s presidency.
There are rumblings that T’s votes were largely rigged, with many voters claiming that their votes have been lost or not counted (apparently in US you can check that your vote has gone through).

Whatever’s going on it’s very concerning.

I do believe that mainstream news sources aren’t reliable and show us what they want us to see (they being God knows who, but it’s easy enough to see this is true), and I believe that SM can be an outlet for actual people going through stuff to share events so can be valuable for sharing news that otherwise is ignored, but it’s also easy for people to make things up and appear as credible, so it’s impossible to know what’s true amongst the propaganda.

Tell us you’re trolling without telling us you’re trolling.

”actual facts” “actual news” “your side” “Trump voter” can you or anyone here spout anything that makes sense. Don’t answer, I already know.

Kamala/Dems had triple the money, most of the legacy media and Hollywood support as well as all of the backing from federal institutions. Stop posting nonsense about Elon. People have woken up to it, America has, we all see it. Learn how much you’ve been lied to and perhaps this result won’t be such a shocker.

MetFarmin · 10/11/2024 20:58

Genuine question, do you have anything to back this up? I’ve tried to find a balanced approach to this election but facts seem to be few and far between.

You sound very sure of yourself on this, would you mind sharing some sources that have backed up your opinion?

Lonelycrab · 10/11/2024 20:58

@MeltdownTears any comment on how removing healthcare, and imposing import tariffs on US citizens will effect their lives? Do you think they’ll be better off?

fashionqueen0123 · 10/11/2024 21:01

Maybe it’s because I’m not in the USA but my Twitter feed has nothing to do with Elon on it and the posts have all been people campaigning for Harris. And now people who hate Trump along with abortions stories of dying women.
So I don’t think the whole site is twisted so that everybody sees pro Trump stuff

Yes. I’ve seen this too.
Also seen that apparently all involved people are unusually quiet at this time, which may indicate action going on behind the scenes.

Lonelycrab · 10/11/2024 21:29

@MeltdownTears so you weren’t able to answer my question and skipped past it. I’ll take that as you can’t actually answer that one. As I expected.

I think he's been trying to stay this close >|< to the right side of legal – though IIUC a judge is still to decide whether his payments to voters were actually over the line.

But yes, any naval gazing by the Democrats (or anyone) which doesn't include this factor has a gaping hole.

The problem is, the Dems don't have much control over what Musk/Trump do (other than objecting through legal means). So it is more helpful to try to work on what they can control (their own messaging).
I do think the push to confuse algorithms with speech when Musk bangs on about freedom of speech is concerning though. Algorythms aren't speech and therefore shouldn't be "protected" in the same way. But any criticism of Twitter or Facebooks actions in other countries will be hit with the "they are suppressing freedom of speech" argument.
