Cyber trucks have a long history of going boom (there was a hope when Trump was pictured in or near one during the campaign).

Has anyone suggested that this could be an attack by a MAGAista incensed by the sell out to Musk ? (Well they have now). Does Steve Bannon have an alibi ?

It was packed with gas cans and fireworks. The driver died (not surprisingly).

How inconvenient for them that the perpetrator was born and bred in Texas, and a military veteran to boot. Doesn't fit with SCROTUS's narrative that imported criminals are conducting these attacks.

Police have also said they are investigating if the attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas are linked - they already said they do not believe the New Orleans attacker was acting alone.

I think you are making the mistake of assuming facts matter here.

Reading more on the BBC website, it appears that Bourbon Street in New Orleans did have bollards in place for an attack like this (installed after 9/11) but that they were undergoing refurbishment and may have created a vulnerability to this sort of attack.

So, just out of curiosity, what are the requirements for an MP? And PM? I assume they have to be a UK citizen (which Leon is not), but does one have to be a 'native born' UK citizen (or however the UK terms one who is a UK citizen from the moment of birth)?

I will say that I don't think Farage would ever become Musk's stooge the way Scrotus has. I don't think that Farage equates money with superiority the way Scrotus seems to. To Scrotus money = smart, and more money = 'more smarter'.

I've noticed that some people are quite easily manipulated by claims that "You're not being fair," because at some level they feel fairness is important (even if they aren't fair 100% of the time themselves).

Manipulators who don't give a shit about fairness for others, only advantage for themselves, have made hay with such people in the last few years. "Snot fair" has become a distinctive cry of manipulators outright trolling other people's better nature.

So, you don't have to be a 'native born' citizen, you can be a naturalized one.

Who can stand as an MP?

• a British citizen
• a citizen of the Republic of Ireland
• a citizen of a commonwealth country who does not require leave to enter or remain in the UK, or has indefinite leave to remain in the UK

And apparently you can be a felon, but not a bankrupt:

I don't think that the people who devised the requirements (both US and UK) thought to put in something about not being a convicted criminal/felon. None of them ever thought the need would arise. Obviously it has here. Hopefully it never will there.
