Looks like Trump could win?

It's looking good for Trump. My dad is a total Trump hater and has been convinced that he won't win, especially since Kamala took over.
I don't know how the system works but is it too early to say that Trump is going to win?

Have the dead voted yet?

Frightened for your daughters? They’re called “birthing people” by the Democrats. How does that support women and girls when they cannot even be named?

LOL! According to some, that's why some of these states haven't declared yet. I do find it pretty rude to not report like the rest of the states who manage to do it quickly. It opens up controversy, just as it did in 2020 and other years. Stay there and count the damn votes so no one can claim shenanigans. It needs to stop.

This is horrendous news to wake up to. I think the sad truth is that in America only a male candidate could ever win against him, which is a sad reflection of what American voters really feel about women.

nope. The problem is that Kamala is the worst VP probably in the history of American politics. She was never going to win.

Trump supporters tend to be uneducated rednecks who hate brown skin. Fact.

Well there's been plenty of brown skinned people who have voted for him shown on the news coverage so what do you call them?

It's comments like this that push people into voting, Biden also did Trump a favour by calling Trump supporters garbage.

Far right, far left.

As you wish.

Hopefully we will soon see the end of the socialist experiment in the west.

It doesn’t work.

The uk is a social capitalism it always has been it's not like america. In america you don't have socialism nothing even close

OneLemonGuide · 06/11/2024 07:18

That’s nonsense.

“Brown” Latinos surged behind Trump at this election in places like Florida.

Exit polls suggest that many more black men voted for Trump than ever before.

People of all races are sick of the identify politics of people like Harris, and see it as condescending and celebrating victimhood and, at its heart, deeply racist.

Martin Luther King’s words that people should be judged on the content of their character, and not the colour of their skin, resonates much more with Trump (who’s far from perfect on the matter) thank with Democrats, who seem intent on pitting black against white with their divisive identity politics.

I'm really losing faith in humanity this morning. The fuckwittery here on MN doesn't help. I can't be arsed to engage with it, but it is so depressing to witness.

absolutely
what a disappointing thread this has become,
so unnecessary

Cnon · 06/11/2024 07:18

Wisconsin put him over the top with ten electoral college votes.

Trump 277
Harris 261

Thanks for the GCSE lesson.

Big government. Tax and spend. Social welfare. The UK and Europe have that model - increasingly so with an ageing demographic, unskilled immigration, and an increasing social welfare bill.

I don’t want that, and I’m not alone.

PA still has to count its mail votes.

CNN has called PA for Trump which will give him 267 electoral votes requiring him to get only 3 more to win

Looks like Trump could win?

Well, I'm sorry, but you are obviously uneducated. Because right now, we have a crisis. In the fact that people are not having children, we need the immigration. I'm sorry, but we do to do the jobs. And any economy needs that to keep on rolling. That's why actually in america, they are doing so well under biden, because actually they have so many jobs

maudelovesharold · 06/11/2024 07:23

Don’t worry, it’s just a cycle. Trump promises his version of the Garden of Eden, the voters fall for it, it won’t happen (this being real life), he’ll be out next time round….

It's what the Americans have voted for. Why is democracy only acceptable if it goes the way you wanted?
I'm happy for the people of the US. Clearly it's what most people wanted.

As it looks likely Trump will be voted President that is who the world works with for the next four years.

Why he is voted in, that takes longer.

Rational debate on both sides is the only way to progress.

Many people across the world feel left behind, but the super wealthy look after their own. Right now it feels like if you can weave in the belief that "others" are the reason for your problems, then you win.

Whose going to stop the media moguls now?

It will continue to be a bumpy ride.

Exactly, it’s a shame people feel the need to be rude to all the voters that actually want him as president.
