Looks like Trump could win?

It's looking good for Trump. My dad is a total Trump hater and has been convinced that he won't win, especially since Kamala took over.
I don't know how the system works but is it too early to say that Trump is going to win?

So why Putin did not act when Trump was in charged last time?. 🤔

same reason he did not act when Obama was in😂

I do hope trump changes the rules for a third term and Obama can come back

I think this is right.

Ordinary folk are tired of being lectured to,
and looked down upon.

Brexit was a function of that and now Labour have adopted a similar air of superiority- do as I say, not do as I do.

Meanwhile, tax and spend is deeply unpopular- most hardworking people want less government,
not more.

How will Brexit Britain manage now though? Trump will be putting tariffs on world trade, so that rules the American market out.

BBC now officially saying Trump projected to win Pennsylvania. That's it. It's all over.

I'm reminded that Obama did not want Harris as the candidate and felt blindsided by Biden's early endorsement of her. If only the Democrats had listened to him.

I suspect Obama has a lot to answer for.

I’m super happy as a Trump voter ✌️ never understood the absolute hate he gets in Britain. You just don’t get it tbh

Are you a man? A white man?

Says who?

Almost everyone who is in a position to be able to predict the outcome I'm afraid. Hope is a dangerous thing as they say in the Shawshank Redemption or in this case perhaps just futile.

Yes Trump himself will most likely be off playing golf but it’s who else is around him we need to be concerned about.

Well, Biden goes to bed for a nana nap at 3pm, that’s when he’s not chasing the ice cream man. Dems gaslit the country for months, insisting that Joe was fully fit, mentally and physically to run the country. You can not trust a single word they say.

@Pumpkinspawn

He does rape females. Also he tried to destroy democracy. Details...

Democrats knew the same about Clinton in the 90's and they still elected him. Twice.

People do unexpected things.

We will get the government we deserve and as far as I am concerned, neither one should have been on the ticket. But, this is where hate, division and extreme views on both sides have gotten us. No matter who wins, the next four years will be a massive shit-show. Until WE change, our government will not.

OonaStubbs · 06/11/2024 07:12

Trump also very likely to win the popular vote this time.

I think the Democrats need to accept that they have lost touch with what the average American wants. They can't keep going down this road of calling people who disagree with them "deplorable" and just saying that they are right and the people are wrong. That just doesn't work.

AlisonDonut · 06/11/2024 06:54

I think sterilising and mutilating kids and the President of the USA promoting it and the men who want more of it is pretty low to be fair.

Absolutely. Let's hope Trump puts a stop to this abuse.

I think Starmer will continue to seek closer alignment to the EU - hes not a natural Trump bedfellow and doubtless the volunteer debacle will be paid back by Trump.

I remain bearish the UK whilst we have Labour in.

MeinKraft · 06/11/2024 07:13

Some of these posts are very reductive. I’m sure many if not most of Trumps voters potentially don’t like the man, but realise that you can’t vote based on whether you like someone’s personality or not. The US is suffering with cost of living due to inflation, just as we are, and they have opted for a change of govt because they aren’t happy with how theirs have dealt with it, just as we did.

It is worrying though as Trump appears to be mentally unstable and spiteful with it. His govt may do a great job with the economy, but at what cost?

Parky04 · 06/11/2024 07:13

Endorsements from so-called celebrities do not help your cause. If anything, it's detrimental. The Brexit vote was a perfect example of this!

yummyscummymummy01 · 06/11/2024 07:13

This is horrendous news to wake up to. I think the sad truth is that in America only a male candidate could ever win against him, which is a sad reflection of what American voters really feel about women.

Same reason. Oh well weird if you are stating that Trump is an ally of Putin?

Channellingsophistication · 06/11/2024 06:57

Horrendous news this morning - a very bad day for the world if Trump gets in again. Dread to think what it means re the wars going on.

He’ll pardon himself of his crimes and I think he’ll try and change the rules so he can do more than two terms.

What is wrong with the American people?
He’s like a cult leader! Completely taken people in its just bizarre. He couldnt care a jot for any of them!

Can you name any large, well publicised wars that began between 2020-2024?

Can you name any large, well publicised wars that began between 2016-2020?

Trump isn't perfect by any means, but I wouldn't be too worried about him starting wars.

Far right, far left.

As you wish.

Hopefully we will soon see the end of the socialist experiment in the west.

It doesn’t work.

EsmaCannonball · 06/11/2024 07:15

Labelling Trump supporters as rednecks is a massive part of the problem. Clearly there are a lot of shy Republican voters who do not fall into that category but who feel they cannot openly voice their concerns for fear of being cancelled.

Pumpkinspawn · 06/11/2024 07:16

GotToLeave · 06/11/2024 07:11

Are you a man? A white man?

According to both Sky News & Fox News Trump has got a huge Latino, Hispanic & Black vote. And also a lot of women have voted for him. So it shows he appeals to many demographics who do not want Kamala & the Democrats.
