I understand why if you are a conservative, you would vote Trump. There are plenty of Americans who are vociferously anti abortion, pro guns, and not keen on social support - every man should stand on his own 2 feet. I understand why they don't want to vote for Harris.
What I can't grasp, is their complete inability to see anything wrong with the personality of Trump - his childish insults, his bonkers obsession with windmills, water pressure, sharks and Hannibal Lector. They describe him as strong and fearless while I see a whiny bully. They consider him a Christian despite him only attending church for the occasional wedding, and being unable to quote a single verse from the Bible.
It's the blind worship of the MAN rather than his politics that baffles me.

I talked about this with DH yesterday. He wasn't aware of it and, unless I've missed it, the MSM in the US haven't picked up on this at all. Though TBF, I doubt it would make feck all difference to the MAGAs/any GOP voter now.

There are plenty of powerful media outlets, including foreign actors not bound by any press standards, looking to damage Democrats, so I'm not sure that stacks up.
