For me, it’s having my TV mounted to our chimney breast. I know that it’s a faux pas on here 😏

Why not get a silicon loo brush instead. They are easier to clean than a cloth, and a complete game changer.

It would still make me puke every time I saw it.

Thing is, it is not something I've ever thought about much until I saw this thread and people seem to be fixated on it.

I like my mother in law.

Wait what!? We’re not meant to have those!? But what will dh and ds pee on?

🤣😂 I remember the days 😑

MoonWoman69 · 24/10/2024 18:15

I love my silicone loo brush! Much cleaner than constantly seeing shit in bristles every time you go in the bathroom!!!

You see. That makes me heave, truly.

italianlondongirl · 24/10/2024 19:05

What is wrong with no loo brush and just putting a squirt of bleach in and leaving it for 20 minutes.
My loo is very clean just doing that.

I still have memories of the loo brush in recent hotel room 🤢

And the silicone ones just don't work

Oh thank you. This is what we do but everyone here seems to find loo brush aversion impossible to comprehend... bleach and a cloth to wipe the seat is perfectly fine...

It would still make me puke every time I saw it.

That is such a massive over reaction to an ordinary household item.

I am a Mumsnet sinner because I would not feel it appropriate to derail a lighthearted thread others are enjoying into a debate about the level of hygiene of toilet brushes.

PyreneanAubrie · 25/10/2024 07:27

@ForPearlViper Guilty as charged, but what can you do when being repeatedly cross-questioned? Dunno. It's not the first thread that's ever been derailed though 🙄

Clearly I have committed a MN sin by finding toilet brushes way more disgusting than dog poo 😁

Love this list!!

my kids are growing up in a flat without a garden I feel bad about it but at least you’re living somewhere fun like London

Why do you feel bad? We had a loving and safe home and I'm sure you do to. Went to the park to run around quite regularly. Could wizz round and do a very good clean in 45 minutes freeing up more time for the children.

My children loved our flat. We moved nearly 15 years ago, they are both adults now but still talk about our flat days very fondly.

Be kind to yourself.

BitOutOfPractice · 25/10/2024 12:33

@Cantthinkofonenow apartment living is 100% the future. I love my flat and wouldnt Want to live anywhere else. Don’t feel guilty.
