Tuna

Anything cold and squishy. Times a thousand if it's got bits in. So that rules out most fruits for me. The only ones I've ever eaten are apples and grapes.

I like most vegetables, though, to make up for it

GrandHighPoohbah · 20/10/2024 10:57

Any kind of rubbery seafood

Nospecialcharactersplease · 20/10/2024 10:58

Almost anything mashed.

StarSlinger · 20/10/2024 11:01

Bananas.

gillybombilly · 20/10/2024 11:04

The crunch of lettuce and other salad items.

I love vegetables but the textures of the above make me feel really queasy.

TyneTeas · 20/10/2024 11:04

Lentils and beans

GretaGip · 20/10/2024 11:05

Okra

Slimy green sludge 🤢

ODFOx · 20/10/2024 11:05

Things which are savoury and gelatinous; the white side of a plaice, the jelly from a cold pork pie, jellied eels, anything in aspic.

Bullaun · 20/10/2024 11:05

Things like celery and fennel — it’s the stringiness.

VenusStarr · 20/10/2024 11:06

Pears

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2024 11:07

Liver, it's just vile

CoutingCrones · 20/10/2024 11:08

Sweet potato - it’s all claggy in my mouth.

GroovyChick87 · 20/10/2024 11:08

Cold chicken, like in the ready to eat packs of chicken chunks. Cold, dry, slimy, gristly.

BobbyBiscuits · 20/10/2024 11:11

The sogginess of a ripe tomato. Specifically the wet pippy bit in the middle. I also hate the middle bit of cucumber but love the skin.
Porridge, semolina, anything wet and grainy. Or really floury dry museli with loads of milk. Yuck!
Most other things I don't mind.
I love really crunchy crispy foods like pork scratchings. But my teeth can't really cope!

ramalamabangbang · 20/10/2024 11:12

Meatballs! The radish sort are just about ok but the mince ones, no. I'm ok with mince if it's been slow cooked for a bolognese, but the texture in meatballs is awful.

Also squid, calamari, octopus - odd rubbery texture. Apparently this means I've never had a properly cooked one.

ramalamabangbang · 20/10/2024 11:12

Not radish - Swedish!

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2024 11:12

Lumpy things. So rice pudding and porridge are out for me.

Clarice99 · 20/10/2024 11:13

Mushrooms
Mashed potato/swede (anything mashed/mush)
Sweet potato - stringy
Aubergine
Pasta - all types

spiderlight · 20/10/2024 11:13

Egg white and jelly. Even thinking about them makes the roof of my mouth crawl, and actually eating them gives me a migraine.

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2024 11:13

VenusStarr · 20/10/2024 11:06

Pears

Yes! Gritty little bastards.

RustyBear · 20/10/2024 11:15

Mushrooms.
I don’t mind the taste, though it’s not one of my favourites, so I can eat mushroom soup or paté as long as it doesn’t have any solid bits, but really don’t like the mouthfeel of whole mushrooms.

Blarn · 20/10/2024 11:16

Foamy. Never order a cappuccino, have to blow a hole through the head of a pint of Guinness to get to the drink. I thought food was safe but there is now always the chance something might come with some kind of savoury foam.

IsItTimeToRetireYet · 20/10/2024 11:20

Olives have a really weird texture to me, I’ve tried to find a variety I like but they’re all wrong!

And I agree with the PP who mentioned slimy okra

Offredismysister · 20/10/2024 11:22

Mince
its either too springy & chewy or too gritty. Yuk.

afaloren · 20/10/2024 11:22

Wet bread, like if there’s a tomato in a sandwich. Or soggy sponge like in a trifle. Gah! Makes me shiver just thinking about it.
