Rocket. I call it spikey lettuce.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 20/10/2024 11:25

Furry things. Baked beans - annoying outer shell then furry on the inside.

GeorgeMichaelsCat · 20/10/2024 11:25

When someone puts sponge in jelly for a trifle

BigDahliaFan · 20/10/2024 11:27

Overly chewy things...whelks

Tarkan · 20/10/2024 11:27

Pretty much everything in a trifle. Soggy soaked sponge fingers. Wobbly jelly, often with lumps of fruit. Cold custard which always gets a bit of a skin on it as it cools. Tbh the whipped cream on top is about the only bit I'm ok with. The rest is a textural nightmare.

ohtowinthelottery · 20/10/2024 11:28

Bananas. I like banana flavour, can just about manage to eat them if 'hidden ' in custard or a banoffee pie, but no way could I manage to eat a banana on its own.

TheGriffle · 20/10/2024 11:29

Rubbery chewy seafood
Beans. I’m 38 and have only been able to tolerate the texture in the last year or so. Mealy and pastey.
Mince, I hate chewy meat and gristle which just sums up mince for me, including burgers, meatballs and meatloaf. I can tolerate a chilli or bolognaise if it’s been slow cooked into oblivion.

spiritgoat · 20/10/2024 11:30

Halloumi, it squeaks against my teeth and makes me cringe. It's annoying because I like the flavour!

Worriedmum40284 · 20/10/2024 11:30

Prawns

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 20/10/2024 11:30

Anything with bits, bones, gelatinous, fatty.

custardcreamsies · 20/10/2024 11:30

Mushrooms

TripleCarber · 20/10/2024 11:32

Mince beef (memories of being made to eat grey bouncy mince beef as a child)

Attelina · 20/10/2024 11:33

Bean sprouts. Hate, loathe and despise them.

Whattheduck · 20/10/2024 11:35

Pears
Melon
Cottage cheese
Marshmallows
Seafood

MoonWoman69 · 20/10/2024 11:35

Okra, slimy and tasteless!
Anything with a sugary coating, Fruit Pastilles and those Viennese chocolates in the Thorntons Continental boxes. Sets my teeth on edge so much, I could turn inside out!
Coarse pates, the chunks are always like gristle to me!

9ToGoal · 20/10/2024 11:36

Wet/soggy bread/toast
Soaked anything spongy
Trifle sponge fingers (lady fingers) dry or wet
Blancmange
Semolina
Cookie dough
Biscuit or cookie loaded bits in ice cream

JamDonutAddict · 20/10/2024 11:37

I love the textures of all food 🙂😌

coffeesaveslives · 20/10/2024 11:37

Overly-ripe bananas
Cooked spinach on its' own (it's okay mixed with other things)
Lettuce and other "leaves" - I can't stand most salads unless they're covered in dressing and mixed with plenty of other things.

Wrennie4 · 20/10/2024 11:37

Cold, raw, fishy stuff. Basically sushi. 🤢

Pascha · 20/10/2024 11:41

Snotty egg white. Egg white in general come to think of it. Also chicken skin that's not crispy. The fat on bacon.

Anything that's supposed to be hot and crispy but is hot and rubbery.

ChristmasInTheDistance · 20/10/2024 11:46

Bloody runner beans! I always feel the tiny hairs in my mouth! Ugh! Also hairs on pork crackling or pork scratchings🤮 and feathers left on chicken and Turkey skin.

Dont eat mussels or oysters or any sea based food cos I imagine the gloopy texture, like wise the suckers on octopus… vile🤮

SoupDragon · 20/10/2024 11:48

Peas.

and I have a strong childhood memory of gagging on semolina.

Twynklebell · 20/10/2024 11:48

Wholemeal bread - feels like cardboard.

MêmePasPeur · 20/10/2024 11:49

Nuts. Especially almonds and hazelnuts.

LondonLass61 · 20/10/2024 11:50

Mussels, sushi and tofu. 🤮
