Just heard on the news abroad he fell from the third floor off a hotel in Buenos Aires, if true it's very sad as he was so young and seemed like a lovely guy

Jesus christ. I've already said twice - where people have said that Robbie abuses people.

People that worked on tour with Robbie came out and said that he was very abusive to women.

Go and look it up.

Manypaws · 18/10/2024 18:47

Oh well it must be true then and he should never speak again

Mrsdoyler · 18/10/2024 18:48

Right. Let's move on

Iwishiwasyounger · 18/10/2024 18:57

@Mrsdoyler Wow, how can you compare a young Robbie who was just 16 years old when he joined TT with the man he is today?

Gloriia · 18/10/2024 19:00

PlantHeadNo5 · 18/10/2024 18:37

I actually think it’s a bit disrespectful that some ‘celebrities’ are coming out and sharing text messages with him etc. Paddy McGuiness for example - it’s like their way of getting in on it all. You can share a message of sorrow without sharing Liam’s private thoughts with the world. It feels wrong some how, like it’s a way of them making it all about them and getting attention.

Oh it is awful and so attention seeking like 'look, look he messaged me!' It was like when Sean Lock died and all the telly comedians were lining up to say who said what last to him and who was most important.

Celebrities' behaviour when someone dies tragically can be utterly cringeworthy. People like Robbie Williams writing a sanctimonious speech when as a pp said he is the last person to be preaching.

Less is more celebs. Just zip it. Gush privately to his family if you so wish, not on sm. Ugh.

Exactly, Williams could have shared some thoughts but he also had to make it all about him and share private messages. It’s so distasteful. And the McGuinness messages from Liam are thanking him for being a friend, as though he’s proving how important he was to Liam - although it doesn’t look like Paddy even replied although that may have been how he edited it. If you were true friends you’d shut the fuck up and not try and grab a tiny bit of attention for yourself from someone else’s death.

Sorry , are you a fan?

Who said that I was talking about robbie williams when he was young?

I wasn't. I wasn't even talking about his take that days.

He did solo tours at a much older age.

Did Robbie Williams share text messages with Liam Payne too?

I hadn't seen that yet.

I'll go and have a look.

Mrsdoyler · 18/10/2024 19:10

Ah yeah I see now. Robbie william has shared his private emails with Liam payne.

That's a bit much. No need to share private messages

Williams always makes everything about him, look at his wife's pregnancies he live tweeted and made everything about him.

Social media is a double edged sword. If you are going to use it to increase your fame then you will also get trolls, that's a fact of social media.

Also we need to stop calling people trolls when they have legitimate concerns, look at Mollie Mae she lives by social media and has released a really shitty overpriced clothing line, but people complaining about the quality are called trolls.

ThorTheDog · 18/10/2024 19:13

It's awful that some people are sharing private messages from Liam. How can they not see how wrong that is?

Robbie Williams said something like 'before you type anything in the internet, have a think whether you really need to publish it.' He really should have taken his own advice.

So desperate are these people to be relevant, they'll do anything, with no real thought for his family and loved ones. Grief vultures.

Mrsdoyler · 18/10/2024 19:15

Of course if any celeb shares a private email or text with Liam, it'll be front page of the news sites this week.

Some of them are probably genuinely sad, but some of them want the free publicity.

RW is just staying true to his absolute knobhead norm. Absolutely right that he should’ve taken his own advice, as you say!

Seasmoke · 18/10/2024 19:20

And then it just creates an environment where everyone reads a million things into anyone not publicly posting their messages. Maybe people who are actually close to them don't think the first thing they should do is post on social media.

Mrsdoyler · 18/10/2024 19:23

I used to date someone in a boyband a long time ago. Not long, for about six months.

They had played to huge crowds.

I dated one of the more unknown members of the band..one of the backing musicians

the main singer was the most famous

I remember the main singer of the band saying to me:

"Playing to huge crowds is such a high, but when you come off that stage - you experience a low that is extremely low.

It's like the highest high, and then the lowest low".

He suffered with a lot of depression

I think this is really interesting probably explains a lot.

Waitingfordoggo · 18/10/2024 19:41

Jarvis Cocker talked about it in an interview once. I realise he never had the same level of fame as some of these boy bands, but he was pretty famous in the 90s and got quite big for his boots for a while. Jarvis compared it to porn (and it is what inspired his song ‘This is Hardcore’) in that you get these highs/rushes (from performing, or from porn), but then you have to keep pushing for something more. Something better/bigger/riskier/scarier. Accepting that you’ve reached the pinnacle and there isn’t anything ‘bigger’ is a tough thing to accept I think.

If you read up thread people are heavily hunting towards foul play. Someone even said they wouldn’t believe what is being reported. Elsewhere People are bringing up Sean Combs and starting to say it was Cheryl’s fault because she groomed him. The water is getting well and truly muddy.

The most ridiculous one on here is the person that thinks the room was staged to cover up the hotel's dodgy balcony 🤦‍♀️

Is it so difficult for people to suggest he had a drug and alcohol problem and mental health issues? Have to make up some conspiracy theory.

I must say when I saw him first perform in front of Cheryl when he was a14 year old. She was an adult judge then. They later got together. It feels like phil schofield and his 14 year old friend who he later dated. Strange blurred and odd lines on music and TV. All a weird grooming feel again or at the least ickie

Cheryl Cole has now said a statement. I saw it on instgram so I can't link.

It'll soon appear on the news sites.

It's on her instagram if anyone uses that

I can’t imagine how horrendous the conversation that she had to have yesterday was. Telling your child their dad has died. And how. And then partially protecting him but one day he will find out all the other stuff, the drugs etc.

I recall reading about Chester Benningfield, the lead singer of Linkin Park, and how his son doesn’t believe he committed suicide. A lot of his life is taken up by this staunch belief that his dad didn’t hang himself and it’s getting supported every day by fans who egg him on saying they knew he would never kill himself. It’s really sad for the families left behind who then have to endure all the things said about their loved ones and all the stuff that comes out later.

Just saw it.

Mrsdoyler · 18/10/2024 20:05

It's top story of dailymail now.

It took 15 minutes from being posted on Cheryl's instagram , to be the top story of the dailymail.

I was timing it , to see how fast news gets onto those news sites.

It's been reported on twitter.

Again, less would be more. A brief we are devastated would suffice. I'm sure any celebrity parent of a dc in tragic circumstances would have a conversation about avoiding social media and the mainstream media. You can't control it so ignore it and don't feed it.

Newsenmum · 18/10/2024 20:06

I found Cheryl’s and Zane’s the saddest tbh. Felt incredibly honest. Still feel sad about it all.
