We're going to Ikea tomorrow for a few things. Tell me what else I need to buy that I never thought I would need/didn't know existed/will make my life easier etc.

it's these ones...I have 5 of 'em, only in the old style green

Edited

That would have been fab but we've filled all the gaps now with the new white ones and rearranged the green ones we do have into a symmetrical pattern so it doesn't look so odd 😂

Thank you so much for the kind offer though 😊👍🏻

I am so craving a trip there now. I love the veggie meatballs and chips
And sandwich bags
And cutlery - where do all my spoons go?

I also need some more Dragon teaspoons. Mine have all gone missing.

Socktopus is called PRESSA
In home organisation (market hall) with laundry/ cleaning..but often sell out

Washing up brush, freezer bags. Handful of those little pencils.

My store doesn't give out the little pencils anymore. It caused too much damage.. graffiti everywhere and customers had a huge urge to stab everything! (apart from each other). White bedding would be stabbed through the bag and had to be written off.. not great when it's a top of the range feather duvet or pillow. Candles were def the most stabbed item though.

This is a recent favourite buy.. stool cover for a fiver

FFS , I can't post, as for some reason a toadstool stool cover is a 'sensitive image'

I'm always tempted by the wooden hands, mainly because I have a puerile sense of humour and would have it making an obscene gesture on my mantlepiece.

I can't see that anyone has mentioned these but look out for the grey festive tins of oat biscuits with cinnamon. (They do ginger ones as well but it's the cinnamon ones you want). I think they are limited edition in the run up to Christmas.
The big bag of chewy sweets - the one with loads of pink heart-shapes and cola bottles - is something that you will tell yourself is only for kids but actually, trust me, they are actually essential adult treats.
Oh and while you're there in the food section just throw in a six pack of the coconut-covered oaty chocolatey 'pastry' that look a bit like walnut whips in shape. Can't remember what they're called but OMG they are the densest, richest, most luscious chocolatey treats...

I think you are all going about this the wrong way.
To get the full IKEA experience you have to go in with a completely blank mind....you are serene....you need nothing.....
Then you take the trolley, just in case you see a few bits. By the end of the 4 mile hike through the store the trolley is full and you have spent £200 on stuff you didn't even know existed before your visit!!
You are physically and mentally exhausted so park the full trolley and try and get some food, the queue is about 20 minutes long and the tray is far too small so you balance all of the plates and hope for the best.
After something to eat and a sit down you head to the check out, you pick up more 'bits' on the way so now you have spent £250 on stuff you didn't know existed.
You finally pay and leave the store to drive 1.5 hrs home, elated with all of the treasures you have found.
I am only allowed to go to IKEA once a year as I have zero self control, so maybe don't listen to me 🤣

I'm only allowed to go with adult supervision and definitely not with ds2 who is worse than me and the last time we went unsupervised together he could barely fit in the car, he was around 4 at the time and is no better now he's 11, but he's so big now, he definitely wouldn't be able to fit in the car!
