I eat it nearly every day at the moment! Is it a normal breakfast or lunch for you?

Love it and it appears the DC have inherited it as one stole my last one for breakfast last week. And then sent me a photo of half eaten toast just to rub it in!

Cobblersorchard · 05/10/2024 10:19

Never, avocado tastes like soap to me. Yuck

AmICrazyToEvenBother · 05/10/2024 10:20

Love it! Haven't had it for ages though because I had a real fad years ago and did it to death!

I find avocado really addictive, once I start eating it, it's almost like a craving.

Inslopia · 05/10/2024 10:20

Weekly but must be smashed with chilli, lemon, etc

purplecorkheart · 05/10/2024 10:20

I have avocado on a toasted bagel about once a week for lunch. A colleague lives very near work and we make this regularly.

Comedycook · 05/10/2024 10:21

Never...I don't dislike it though

Fromage · 05/10/2024 10:21

Giggorata · 05/10/2024 10:10

Never have.

I like toast and I like avocados, but combined like that… nah.

Same here. I thought they sounded revolting together, but eventually tried it.

Yup, I was right, awful. Bizarre texture combination and not a great taste. Yeuch.

Meadowfinch · 05/10/2024 10:22

Never.

I've had it once, in an hotel. I prefer mushrooms or eggs if I'm not having toast or croissants.

Never, I'm a millennial. If I want to buy a house I can't eat avocado toast, it's in the rules 🙃

Put your latte down! Ya waster Wink

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 05/10/2024 10:22

Not all that often but it's one of my choices if I'm out for brunch. Poached eggs, avocado and wholemeal toast is delicious, especially with some sort of spicy dressing.

NunyaBeeswax · 05/10/2024 10:22

Never in 45 years
I doubt I ever will

PaminaMozart · 05/10/2024 10:22

Serious question...

Why can't Lidl sort out their avocado suppliers? Theirs never ripen, so I have to get them from Waitrose 😩

Karmaisac4t · 05/10/2024 10:22

Ifailed · 05/10/2024 10:09

I have never eaten it.

Same

BlackOrangeFrog · 05/10/2024 10:23

A few times a year. Normally when out for brunch or similar.

Addictforanex · 05/10/2024 10:24

Couple of times a month, but not on its own, with smoked salmon or poached eggs.

Mishmag · 05/10/2024 10:24

I used to have it daily but had a bad run of avocados (either stringy or brown) so stopped eating it for a while. Now it’s probably once every couple of weeks.

RabbitsRock · 05/10/2024 10:24

Love avocado! I haven’t had it on toast for a while but would eat it happily for breakfast or lunch.

Lovelysummerdays · 05/10/2024 10:25

I love it but because I shop online I hardly buy Avocados. I think it’s something you need to fondle in person.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/10/2024 10:29

I like avocado mashed up with chilli flakes, on toast, topped with a fried egg for lunch sometimes if I am working from home. Or on a bagel with crispy bacon. I tend to eat it in summer a lot but winter make batches of soup and have those.

Librarybooksandacoconut · 05/10/2024 10:31

I’m a millennial who owns their own house outright. I eat avocado toast with wild abandon.

GingerPirate · 05/10/2024 10:31

Ugh, wouldn't think about it.
I mean, thousand things on toast apart from a greasy funny mushy avocado 🥑 😁

Meadowfinch · 05/10/2024 10:32

Avocado - about 80p, decent toast 15p a slice (at home)
Take out coffee -about £3.50

So £4.45 for breakfast X 365 days a year = £1625 a year

Home made coffee & porridge (my weekday breakfast) about 25p X 365 = £92.

Leaving £1530 for a holiday or to add to a house deposit. Most save for 5 years for a deposit so that's £7,500 per person, extra saving.

Not an unreasonable argument.

Dogfog · 05/10/2024 10:33

Ŵe have it as dinner maybe once every two weeks. It's delicious with poached egg, spinach and garlic tomatoes on the side. Dreamy

LSTMS30555 · 05/10/2024 10:35

Never avocados taste of nothingness.

Whoopsmahoot · 05/10/2024 10:36

Never, loathe avocado 🤮
