Tesco? Isn't that a bit 'low rent' for Boris? Maybe hes having trouble getting rid of them

Saucery · 13/10/2024 16:20

If you are a child, you may well get better treatment or equipment at school – even transport to and
from home.' See pages 6 and 19.

Flabberghasted she thinks this is a Bad Thing. It’s not even true, but I suppose if you are a child, you may well be dumped in a mainstream school with no support even if demonstrating daily that you can’t cope doesn’t fit her agenda. What a piece of work she is!

Badenoch latest Angry

https://x.com/ianbirrell/status/1845234483596861841

According to Kemi Badenoch, autism diagnosis gives children 'better treatment in school' and 'offers economic advantages and protections.' This is so far removed from the reality for many folks, no wonder her document is called 'Conservatism in Crisis'

Do they? We must have missed that memo 🤔 or is that just autism? If you have a degenerative neurological condition as well does that counteract it? 😉🤯

What's happened to the pinnocchio nose emoji? Withdrawn due to over use? We need it.

🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥😂

itsgettingweird · 13/10/2024 16:37

Complaining about adjustments for disabled kids and suggesting they are at an advantage by virtue of their diagnosis seems like a new low to me however.

Sadly this attitude exists.

MN is a prime example of it some days.

PickAChew · 13/10/2024 16:38

I don't know if anyone saw HIGNFY on Friday. Ian Hislop was teamed up with Dame Andrea Jenkyns. He asked her, at one point, which of the two would she vote for if she was still an MP. She declared that she couldn't support either of them because they were far too One Nation for her.

LlynTegid · 13/10/2024 16:41

Zonder · 13/10/2024 14:27

Badenoch hits a new low there. Vile.

On another note, two Tesco's near me have a big display of Boris Johnson's books at the entrance as you walk in. I am going to write and complain. Nobody needs to be faced with that.

Pity it is not a bookshop. If you are in one, pretend to browse through the book and then place it in the fiction section.

An honest answer given her views.

Ian didn't have to work very hard to get her to sound outrageous.

Has Tesco got them on their famous BOGOFF offer? I do hope so. BOGOFF Bozo. Please.

Isn’t she? Remember the finger up to the entire nation outside Downing Street?

Ah, yes but they are at an economic advantage somehow.

Didnt she also suggest withdrawing TAs from schools too? Wasteful overstaffing.

I catch up today. My eyes disappeared at the back of my head and my mouth could have caught flies.

Loved Hislops reaction to it 😂

itsgettingweird · 13/10/2024 20:05

Yeah and she didn't make it any more excusable while excusing it!

She seems to have Truss level self awareness.

Notonthestairs · 13/10/2024 21:46

Talking of self awareness, another Conservative refusing to engage with reality -

“What if the Irish say no?"
“We can’t anticipate that discussion."

@Lewis_Goodall asks Sir John Hayes how the Good Friday Agreement might be preserved if the UK followed through with his preferred candidate Robert Jenrick’s plan to leave the ECHR.

Brexit all over again - fingers in ears, no point offering an actual plan, it might destroy the mirage.

I did.

Andrea Jenkins was a shocker! There's a woman so deep in denial, she's gonna find a sunken pyramid soon.Shock

bombastix · 14/10/2024 07:42

I increasingly think the Conservatives are toast. Look at their candidates. Both are dire. Even compared to twenty years ago. They are the crumbs left after Johnson. What is the point of them?

DuncinToffee · 14/10/2024 08:30

Tories could lose a dozen more MP's

Govt plans to end what some MPs consider ‘perks of the job’ may lead to resignations among Conservatives as lucrative second jobs become more difficult or impossible to do

Britain is ready for investment and has a “very real opportunity” to grow its economy, some of the world’s biggest banks and companies have said on the eve of a flagship summit in London.

In a letter to The Times, five of the world’s biggest banks joined private equity giants, major insurers and tech companies to say it was “time to invest in Britain”.

Meanwhile the media will be frothing over who makes Jenricks socks, and who cuts Kemis hair. Probably not a bad thing.

I have to be honest, even I could never have imagined the Tories could sink so far and so fast, And I have eagerly anticipated it since the 90s. Not only did they set the controls for the heart of the sun, They fucking ignited the boosters and shed weight to make it even faster. And continuing that analogy (like the GOP) they appear to be on course to become a black hole in politics. Spewing only deadly radiation and incapable of supporting life. (Prof Brian Cox is free to correct me it I've misunderstood 😀)

It looks good! Actually impressed - it looks like this effort is coordinated properly into an effective start towards a public private partnership.

Devil will be in the detail of what regulatory changes these companies want.

But very interesting. It may leave the Tories as the party of very small business.

Well they will be a very small party.
