Why does everyone love the queen, when she paid off Andrew’s victims?

Just on the back of Huw Edwards sentencing, I remember he was the one to announce the passing of the queen. Cue everyone crying, saying how wonderful she was etc. But I can’t get on board with respecting a woman who basically paid to keep her son out of prison. Why does everyone still adore her? And why did Andrew’s victim take the money instead of getting him punished, even if it was just a suspended like Edwards?

He could have defended himself instead he could only slut shame her, something he was forced to apologise for

^^ This

Yes, and he actually used the words 'slutty girls'.

These were girls as young as 12, vulnerable girls who had been homeless, no parental support, poor, abuse victims....
Andrew is despicable
He quickly had to backtrack but that shows what he actually thinks

He said that through his lawyers. One of the most expensive firms in the country. I can't imgine they did that willingly, and would have made it crystal clear that slut shaming child prostitutes was unlikely to be a good strategy. So it is obvious that he insisted on using that as a defence to his claim, against advice. Glad she forced that statement out of him!

It’s only when the Queen receives the transcript, and Andrew receives a “tap on the shoulder” from the palace (according to Maitlis), that the catastrophe becomes clear to him. The interview then prompts Virginia Giuffre – who claims the prince had sex with her on several occasions when she was 17 – to pursue Andrew legally.

Taken from an article. If Andrew had not been so disgusting in that interview. If he had not defended his friendship with Epstein, denied even meeting VG, acting like an entitled boorish twat, and showed some contrition....maybe VG would not have pursued him with a civil case.
