I see Arnold Schwarzenegger has endorsed Harris. Of course MAGA will discount his opinion because he's a) Holywood elite b) ex Californian governor so practically a Democrat and c) forrin

Have you watched the Netflix documentary about him? As someone who didn’t know much about him beyond the movie persona it was really interesting, it was done in 3 parts - on eon his early life and body building, one on his acting career and one on his political career. He’s an impressive character, very driven and with a strong sense of what he wants to do in life.

He also gave a good interview on TRIP Leading last year, so worth checking out.

After that video he made a while back, did Arnie really need to endorse Harris? His feelings about Trump were abundantly clear in that.

As much as I like my suggestion of a title for the next thread (The Liar The Watch and The YouTube) I'm not sure it applies, given the gravity of this election. Perhaps if it's used it will fill up fast, the next few days are going to be jam-packed with stunts in the media by the orange blimps team. The next thread could be called
Harris v Trump, HANDS ACROSS THE WATER. (Per a comment made by @AcrossthePond55 )

I think that's a brilliant thread title.

My American friends are beside themselves with worry about the outcome and the future if the worst should happen.

A video of Trump dressed in high viz gear stumbling trying to get into a garbage truck is doing the rounds today

Getting ready to listen to today's TRIP US and the title is not inspiring me - "Has Biden cost Harris the election?"

There are a few montages around that show Trump dragging his right leg when he walks/steps up or down, which he does in the garbage truck video mentioned. I 'appreciate' that he's 78 so it's not unusual to have stiff joints etc but the fact that he won't release medical information is telling. Its not just about how tall he actually is or what weight he is anymore.

They have to stay 'relevant' otherwise they don't get the 'clicks'. Anyone paid to comment (or gets revenue from it) is suspect in my eyes.

DH listens endlessly to the Lincoln Project contributors but they're almost as bad as Fox now (imo) - just endless "he said, however she said, so we think..."

If you're going to be persuaded because 'shock, horror' Biden misspoke (again) then you were never going to vote for Harris.

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer but, just incase you can't tell, I'm sick of pundits slagging Harris off whilst purporting to support her. 😤😭 The election is 5 days away!

I really, really recommend the Bulwark podcasts and Nicolle Wallace and Rachel Maddow as your main listens. The Bulwark folks are keeping me vaguely sane right now.

As I know I've said (probably too many times) I don't rate TRIP US and the Lincoln Project folks are amusing, but not as serious as they make out - too much of it feels like grudge match stuff.

Beau of the Fifth's wife Belle continues to point out factual errors in what Trump and his myrmidons have claimed, while mostly not paying any attention to polls at all, which I find a great comfort.

Remember that on Twitter, those with a tick get paid for the number of engagements they have
so writing drivel that gets a reaction earns them money.

The man was limping, and then stumbled backwards as he tried to grasp something directly in front of him. It was rather reminiscent of someone I knew who'd had a not very serious stroke. I just hope to God he doesn't somehow manage to win the election, and then drop dead leaving Vance in charge.

The plus about him losing and then having another, more serious stroke would be that nobody else would push so hard on the lie the election had been stolen.
