I genuinely live in (half of) a house called Springfield but I can assert that both cats are alive and soppy well - as the Romanian rescue bloody immigrants dog that belongs to our downstairs' neighbours.

I know on the last thread, there was a theory going around that Trump is using thr "dead pets" thing to distract from Project 2025.

I think we are giving him too much credit. I can see that logic playing out in Vance and the others around him, but for Trump, it's more like a fixation because people are laughing at him. At this stage (especially when you compare his current speeches with his past performance), you can see there's something wrong with him. The narcissism is out of control and his thought patterns echo the signs of dementia, especially if its aggravated by stress.

Of course, getting people to admit they might have a neurological disease is difficult at the best of times. Trump will never admit it and as they can't get rid of him, neither will the Republican party. That's a terrifying thought for a guy who could end up with with the nuclear keys.

May I join? My DS is likely to move to the US next year (he's a citizen) and the idea of him living in Trumpland terrifies me.
My cats have also not been eaten. I'm adding a photo of the one who has a habit of eating strings and shoelaces.

I'm just watching the latest The Rest is Politics US. I found it a really interesting and quite depressing programme. I think their analysis that it all hinges on the economy is absolutely correct and I agree with Scaramucci's solution to the problem. Also agree that Harris needs to be more available to answer press questions.

Just because Trump won't stop answering press questions, whether they have asked them or not and whether his answers have anything to do with anything anyone has ever asked anyone, that shouldn't mean Harris has to send her time whoring herself to the press.
