Whose clever idea was it to put stickers on greetings cards?! Not the easy pull off ones but the ones that leave some of the sticker behind. I know very first world problems.

Anybody want to put anything into the black hole of hell?

Apparently the bottle tops are like that now for recycling purposes so the lid stays with the bottle but I agree it’s really annoying

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 13/09/2024 14:52

These are fab! I'm going to get one for my cupboard immediately.

Although I may have to put it on a lanyard, because I have to open tins away from home quite often...

gingerperil · 13/09/2024 14:52

Primary school PTA’s…. And I am on one 😩

butterpuffed · 13/09/2024 14:53

All the little pieces of dates [yuk] in muesli . It takes me longer to get them out than it does to eat the bowl of muesli .

Yes the bottles where the lid won't come all the way off and just hang there and then get in the way when you tip the bottle up.

Who actually decided these were all going to be the new caps? I bloody hate them!

KievLoverTwo · 13/09/2024 14:55

Landlords who rent homes out but you're not allowed to use the garage / 3rd bedroom because it's full of their crap.

People who stop dead in doorways to look at their phone or faff with their bag, or stop for a chat in the doorway of a busy supermarket, or across the aisle of the same supermarket.

If ever you read a story about some mad woman banned from Tesco for rugby tackling another patron, that'll be me.

I’m in a wheelchair and you’ve no idea how many times people have stopped dead in their tracks in front of me and I’ve practically tipped up trying to stop before I jam into the backs of their legs !! Or those people who are intently looking at supermarket shelves and step back into the aisle without looking - and then look at you as though it’s your fault when they fall over you !!

Delivery drivers who leave parcels on your doorstep. Or in your wheelie bin.

While you're away on holiday for 2 weeks 😡

I ordered a 6 foot Christmas tree last year, and driver left it on my front door step in full view. I live on a main road, how it was still there when I got home ill never know! 🎄

Crumpleton · 13/09/2024 14:56

When the doors of a lift open and you're met with a standing ovation and no one wants to move inorder to let you out.

DiscoBeat · 13/09/2024 14:56

The thing that really drives me nuts is the wrapping paper with five little sticker strips all-around it!

YES! Me and DH were only whingeing about this yesterday. Why would a premium brand not have tins that stack, when budget brands like Aldi et al can manage it? It really pisses me off

M&S Beans don't stack, either. First World problem perhaps, but I've had one fall out of the pantry on my foot, and a second time into the bloody litter tray.

I had Amazon delivery throw a box of glass Christmas tree ornaments over the fence - every one of them was smashed. Wouldn’t care but ‘Fragile’ was stamped all over the box !!

I was away recently and when I came back there was a soggy box of 48 packets of walkers French fries on my doorstep. It literally disintegrated when I picked it up.

still ate the crisps though

Elderflower14 · 13/09/2024 15:00

Can I add another one... Idiots on bicycles who bomb along seafronts ignoring the get off and walk parts.
Poor Wilf... There is a lovely seafront where he lives but he is not keen on walking along there as he can't hear the bicycles coming from behind him. He only has to step the wrong way and he could he knocked over. I've been known to shout at people who do it when I'm walking with him. In fact one of his friends did it, realised it was Wilf, realised I was with him and jumped off his bike saying "I'm sorry... Please don't shout at me!!"
My reputation precedes me!! 🤣 🤣

menopause59 · 13/09/2024 15:02

Parents of children that play football

Grow up your child is not going to be the next let them have fun and stop shouting from the sidelines like an idiot

Ok as someone who loses things immediately I actually love these new lids that can’t be lost 😂

ValleyClouds · 13/09/2024 15:05

@Rosscameasdoody

in a wheelchair and you’ve no idea how many times people have stopped dead in their tracks in front of me

Also a wheelchair user and this happens to me. One woman had a proper go at me for not looking where I was going when I definitely was and she definitely wasn't. Words were exchanged.

Mine is the idiot who gave duplicate street numbers to the new build I live in off a main road which forms the address. Endless confusion with the main road for deliveries etc.

Comethefuckonbridget1 · 13/09/2024 15:06

People who put whistles, or worse, RECORDERS!!! In party bags. Yes, I am speaking from experience.

They hate the parents but also hate the kids because there are always windpipe sized rubber balls, or lollies, or uninflated balloons inside just waiting to block an airway whilst you’re driving home.

Retape · 13/09/2024 15:09

It's not always easy to put your shopping in the boot if you reverse into a supermarket parking space.

MistyMoonlight · 13/09/2024 15:09

If I may be so presumptuous as to add another... Emails from companies like eBay etc asking for a review of a product you have bought when the sodding thing has just been delivered! No, I can't tell you what I think of said product, I'm at work and I've just had notification it's been delivered! At least give it a few weeks!!

Not just greeting cards but I've gone to purchase books, ephemera and items in old packaging at junk & antique sales - and the vendor has slapped a recalcitrant sticker right over the best part of the book cover, old box or whatever. (Sometimes the retro packaging is the best part, or would be.)

It boggles the mind that a supposed informed professional seller would deface an item and lower it's value.

mathanxiety · 13/09/2024 15:13

HumerousHumous · 13/09/2024 14:15

Cling film!!!

It never rips off cleanly as the serrated edge is crap.

The serrated edge nearly always comes off the box eventually.

The actual film doesn't cling to anything anymore. The manufacturers have clearly done something to it last few years.

My pet peeve.

Also, I'd like to know why the roadwork on a certain main street where I live has taken five months so far, with no end in sight because nobody ever does any roadwork there apart from moving orange barrels to narrow the driving lanes or turn the driving lanes into a slalom course, and reduce the traffic to a crawl. There is a hospital along the route, and finishing the roadwork should have been a priority as ambulances have to divert through the side streets during gridlock hours (6-10am and 3-6pm).

NiceCutRoundDomeDormice · 13/09/2024 15:13

People who don’t look where they’re going, walk straight into your path, and then look either infuriated or completely bewildered that you don’t jump to move out of their way. The same goes for people on trains who just sort of stare in confusion if the exact seat they want isn’t free instead of just sitting somewhere else. Or indeed anyone who seems to believe everyone else is just an inconvenience to them.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 13/09/2024 15:17

The packaging on bacon.

Surely someone, somewhere, can invent something better.
