Quad biking but I'm not in the right area.

What about you?

Pottery. I love the Throwdown and it looks amazing. I've looked, and sadly there aren't any classes in my (very) rural area.

Twazique · 09/09/2024 18:42

Mudlarking, but there are no new permits.

Rumforme · 09/09/2024 18:42

Candle making.

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 09/09/2024 18:44

Drawing or painting. Or the piano. Or to knit or crochet properly.

mynameiscalypso · 09/09/2024 18:47

I think I'd like to potter around with a dolls house or two.

EngineEngineNumber9 · 09/09/2024 18:48

I used to play in a brass band in high school. Often get a hankering to take it up again, especially at Christmas.

Candle making.

I used to make candles it's good fun and allows you to be creative.
You don't need any fancy equipment, a double boiler, a few moulds wax and wick .
There are additional things like scents , dye , mould stands and different types of wax but paraffin is the best one to start with.

I'd love to play the electric guitar.

OhLookAStrawberry · 09/09/2024 19:07

Guitar. There's nothing really stopping me, I just don't have the time or mental capacity to take on anything else right now

ScottBakula · 09/09/2024 19:11

@Rumforme , this kit was the one i started with , its changed a bit over the years but its a reliable brand so it should be good.

I'd like to play the piano, knit and swim front crawl really well (not necessarily at the same time)

RobinEllacotStrike · 09/09/2024 19:18

I would love to play guitar.

And sail - I'd love to sail a small sailboat by myself.

countrygirl99 · 09/09/2024 19:19

Scuba diving. I'm 65 having a trial dive later this week.

UmopapIsdn · 09/09/2024 19:21

Crochet or knitting

I've taught myself both before but the info won’t stick so as soon as I take a break from it I forget everything. Literally can’t even cast on. I so want to do it properly!

Merrow · 09/09/2024 19:22

Carpentry. I'd love to be able to make furniture. But I'm incredibly clumsy and impatient, so not a great combination!

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 09/09/2024 19:24

Crocheting. I just can't get started.

HS1990 · 09/09/2024 19:26

Geocaching but properly. I discovered it at the start of the summer holidays and I love it. But it's hard to keep up with two unders 5s ... my DD4 never wants to do it with me unless we are in a playground as well and while DS2 is more tolerant, it's just dragging him around with me spoils it a little bit. Some of my local caches are not kid friendly so i have to skip them. I want to pack up a lunchbox, hop on a bike and go gallivanting... maybe when my kids are older?

FeltCarrot · 09/09/2024 19:35

Calligrapy. Bought some pens and a book a few years ago, must dig them out.

Crocheting, my sil tried to teach me but I just couldn’t get the hang of it.

Running

Nothing to stop me giving any of them another go really.

PetrichorSoul · 09/09/2024 19:41

For those who want to crochet. Keep at it, keep practicing! It’s so fulfilling.

Paddle boarding. I cannot get my balance at all no matter how calm the water.

Pixiewombat · 09/09/2024 19:44

Clay pigeon shooting...

TeamPolin · 09/09/2024 19:44

@Twazique I'd love to do Mudlarking too....

Csdrassticcallychanginngnnammes · 09/09/2024 19:47

Playing the piano. How I wish my parents had paid for me to have lessons.

Compash · 09/09/2024 19:47

Rock climbing. 🧗‍♀️ But I'm nearly 60 and have a short-legged, non-climber's build...

I climbed a bit when I was much younger, and I still love going up a ladder or scrambling up the fence onto the garage roof - that buzz of trusting to your body and your perceptions, and of being high up...

HelenHywater · 09/09/2024 19:50

I'd like to sing. I've no idea if I can but it really appeals to me to sing in a choir.

And run. Crap knees mean I can't do this anymore, but I used to love running. I wish I could still run.

mondaytosunday · 09/09/2024 19:56

Stained glass. And I will once I find the right course!taking a taster session this Autumn.

JennyfromtheBlok · 09/09/2024 19:59
