Dog agility - I could do this but my dog is very nervous.
History, to find my fav period and know it
Geology - rocks mostly.
Family history

Gardening ( cannot belive I wrote that)

I would love to volunteer onto a dig somewhere and be allowed to ask lots of questions without annoying anyone.

Sailing but I can't afford a yacht or moorings, etc. First world problems, eh?

There are various websites and Facebook pages out there where boat owners go to look for crew. Don't buy a boat- make yourself useful on someone else's!

A great way to start is to do a practical RYA course- Competent Crew or Day Skipper. I did mine with Sunsail- it was pretty cheap because it was in December, on the Solent (LOTS of night sailing hours, so privileged 😆), and you sleep on board, so no accommodation costs.

I'd like to drive trains on a heritage railway.

I learnt that way too, unfortunately don't know boat owners...wrong social circle.😂..it was great fun at the time, I went to channel islands on one trip..
