Happy to see Princess Kate doing so well, but...

I'm really glad to see Kate doing so well, and I am glad she has finished chemo looking so healthy and happy. However my sister and I cannot stop laughing at the video Kensington Palace have just released.

We think the video has a striking resemblance to the Twilight films, only warm toned and shorter.

Dramatic sweeping shots of trees - check

The soft-focus short film is weird and naff and what you’d expect to see from some central Asian dictatorship where we’re all expected to be devoted to the Dear Leader.

We can we found it odd, or funny, without it being a reflection on our feelings about her cancer status for goodness sake.

Ok the video's not my style with the Teresa May moment through the field, but whatever she did it would be criticised - too short, too long, too matter of fact, not enough time with the children etc etc etc

The people getting their knickers in a twist at those saying it’s cringy would be the people laying in to Meghan if she did a similar video.

There’s children going to bed hungry tonight and then there’s Kensington Palace wasting the annual running cost of several food banks on a wank piece of promotional footage to try and convince us Will and Kate actually like each other still.

As far as the cost, I can film and edit on my iPhone to that level of quality, it's very accessible now to produce short films. Whilst it may have been a production company it could have been done "in house" too. As for the clothes, they may have already had them. I can't get worked up by these things. What wasn't said was she was cancer free, just that chemo was finished.

I only got through a minute of it before I couldn't cope with the cringe.

What baffled me was it's the sort of soft focus lifestyle video Meghan would come out with. What were they thinking?

I agree that the vitriol would be worse if it was Meghan and Harry and offspring.

Why bring them into it?

I thought it was lovely and very moving.

I said to DC that I felt unexpectedly quite moved (read filling up) because she is a mum to three young children who has been on (and shared) a cancer journey.
