But the whole "i'm not publicly naming them" - you'd think as a former lawyer he'd know birth records are public record and anyone can find out in 30 seconds? So not the big secret he thinks it is?

Yawn. This paint's still not dry and the young Starmers remain unnamed. How selfish of their parents to fail to offer bigots a stick with which to beat them. It's enough to make you vote Tory. If you can find one.

Not judging by the self-centred way in which you blithely approved Tory-boy Starmer's targeting of poorer pensioners. Even the Unions now are saying he and the Chancellor have got it wrong. Thatcher said there is 'no such thing as society'. Society looks after its most vulnerable-including the elderly. And you clearly were cheering Starmer on in your first post-no ifs or buts or qualification. You are wrong-Thatcher would have applauded your uncaring, self oriented opinion. You don't like that? Tough. The truth hurts sometimes. But hey-you are financially comfortable enough not to be bothered about Starmer's cuts ... yet.

Contrast this with Deputy First Minister in Scotland Shona Robison who has just put her daughter's picture on social media posing in her St Andrews University bedroom as she starts her degree course. Now the media know what she looks like I'm sure there will be more pictures of her in the news over the next few years, maybe in an attempt to embarrass her mother who isn't over popular.

I don't have any words for the idea that this is something worth discussing. Other politicians have weaponised their kids, whether it's John Selwyn Gummer back in the 80s shoving a burger in his daughter's face in the mad cow disease crisis, Cameron milking his kid's disability while cutting resources for other disabled kids, Blair doing cutesy Christmas cards or Johnson's kids` bonkers back of their heads pics. A ghastly woman Tory candidate in my area banged on about her disabled young adult son, breaching his privacy to a shocking degree. Starmer is doing the opposite. Keep them out of the private eye as far as possible. Who could have a problem with that?
