Are you a morning or evening showerer?

Got into a lighthearted debate about this…the evening showerers say it’s unclean to get into bed after not washing all day. The morning showerers say it’s better to start the day as clean as possible, not many hours after your last shower.

id hate it if my partner rushed off to have a shower after sex, I much prefer cuddling up together, I don't mind about some shared 'mess' .

I used to be a 'can't function until I've had a shower person' but I always feel a bit tough in the mornings now & a have a tendency to faint if I shower straight away. I've also had a job that is 'split' so I came home about 8:30 then I'd do some bits around the house then shower.

Also a night shower when I feel I want to or need to. Various through the seasons & activities.

whether I've had one the night before or not doesn't affect my morning shower. I get hit overnight, even in winter & bedroom activities...

I sweat and thrash about in bed so if I showered in the evening I'd need another the next morning. I usually shower early afternoon, as I don't really do much early as always feel rubbish before my meds kick in. I try to avoid any appointments that require leaving the house before about 2pm.
If it was a brutally early start like out the door at 8, then I probably would shower night before.

Morning. To me showering helps me get the day started well.

I'll sometimes shower in the evening too if the weather has been hot and sticky.

Evening for me, I can't imagine getting into bed without 'washing the day off'. But if I have time, feel particularly sweaty or do a morning workout, I'll just have another quick shower in the morning, which is quick because I would have shaved etc. the evening before 😊

I don't have a specific routine, mostly I shower in the morning because i feel it wakes me up properly , but would shower again in the evening if I had exercised which is probably 4 times a week.

At the weekend, if I'm going for a run in the morning I wouldn't bother to shower first, but then might shower mid morning or lunchtime.

@LightDrizzle don't forget "vile" from your bingo card and the mention of how dreadful everyone on public transport smells specifically because they didn't have a shower that morning

Both but combined they are shorter than DH takes.

I tend to want to be clean to start my day but also wash the day’s dirt before I go to bed.

I just have a shower when I feel like it, to be honest. If I’m going somewhere during the day I’ll shower in the morning. Today I’m working from home and I didn’t bother. I’ll probably go for a run after work so I’ll shower after that.

Evening whenever possible though I prefer to sleep cold/er without a duvet perhaps a thin blanket so I don't sweat much.

I have two short showers a day, one in the morning - but it's very quick, my night one is about washing off suncream or deodrant - anything that might irritate me overnight! They are short unless washing hair or shaving.

I don't wear pj's. And I aren't ever 'dirty'.

Bath in the evening and quick shower in the morning. I could never get into bed without washing first.

Bit of both. I like an evening bath and a morning shower. Occasionally a lunchtime shower which is bliss.

I have to factor in hair washing as my hair takes ages to dry soon rarely wash it at night.

Both, always. Quick shower in the morning to feel fresh for the day and longer shower (with hair washing etc.) in the evening before bed.

Morning shower here. It wakes me up for the day, and also I have to wash my hair before styling it. If I washed it in the evening and slept on it, it'd be a mess by morning!

When it's hot, or if I've been exercising or otherwise feel I need one, I'll also have a quick evening shower to freshen up but I'll always have one the next morning.

I used to be morning before COVID, but then when they reckoned it was surface transmitted I got into the habit of showering when I got in from work and now I like the extra half hour's sleep too much to swap back !

Morning, I don’t care if I’m grubby while I’m sleeping but I definitely think people who don’t shower after they’ve been sleeping have a musty smell.

Morning, afternoon and evening! Always need a shower to wake up and feel fresh to dress for the day. Afternoon after work ( work with animals so I can smell) then before bed. All very quick showers and only one hair wash obviously.

Both, a quick one in the morning ~ Pits, bits and under boobs. Evening one ~ all over, especially feet.

Evening full shower and hair wash, then body lotion and into clean Pj's. I wash in the mornings, occasionally have a very quick shower if I wake up feeling grotty.
I could not get into bed without showering or bathing first. We all shower at night in our house.

I would wake up with my hair all skew whiff if I showered at night.

Every evening. No exception. Because I'm getting into bed with another person (my husband 😅). When I was single I would shower every other day (morning or night) to save water, as I'm clean.

But couldn't get into bed next to someone if I was unshowered. It doesn't seem right x

Generally morning if I'm working as it wakes me up. On days off or holiday it tends to be evenings.
