Grey's The New Blonde by Henry Priestman. Johnnie Walker played it a lot on Radio 2 but it wasn't a huge hit...

With the sun and moon as gifts

Always makes me well up when I listen.

Broken Land by The Adventures - came on the radio the other day and I'd forgotten how much I loved this song.

Blueybanditbingochilli · 01/09/2024 19:18

I’ve got a few.

The Pogues - I’m a Man You Don’t Meet Every Day. We listened to the Pogues a lot as kids (parents loved them)

My Chemical Romance - Drowning Lessons. Listened to this a lot when I was very depressed and in a dark place.

First Aid Kit - Fireworks and also a song called America. First song listened to a lot when I was dating DP and the second when I was pregnant with DD.

Imatorturedpoet · 01/09/2024 19:19

Pulp, Something Changed
Taylor Swift, A better man
Del Amitri, Sleep instead of tear drops
Thunder, Better man (different to Taylor's!)

And many more lol

I don't know how well known this is, but The King of Wishful Thinking by Go West popped into my head recently for some reason, and I remembered how much I liked it.

@Thingsthatgo I love that song. Her voice sounds so wrought with pain, it’s an incredible vocal performance.
