Grey's The New Blonde by Henry Priestman. Johnnie Walker played it a lot on Radio 2 but it wasn't a huge hit...

@Blueybanditbingochilli I think I've been listening to the Pogues since I was in the womb 😅 and they were still my 'most listened to artist' on the Spotify list last year! Love that song. Too many others to mention but Sunnyside of the Street when I need to get into a 'fuck it all, do what you want and be happy!' mood and Young Ned of the Hill if I'm trying to find my anger about something (bit cringey as I'm English 😬)

Another vote for Broken Land! And:
Come On Home, Everything But The Girl
All I See Is You, Dusty Springfield
Brother, Gerard Way
Perfect Situation, Weezer

The Rifle's Spiral by The Shins. Apparently it's about a funder of suicide bombers but I didn't know that when I fell for it.

So long to this wretched form
Them gray eyes on the subway
Long before you were born
You were always to be a dagger floating
Straight to their heart

Iamateadrinker · 01/09/2024 20:56

The Way by Fastball

Agree this is a great song.
Also Slight Return by the Bluetones and Oblivious by Aztec Camera. Both just make me smile and turn the sound up when they come on
