How the fuck is this going to happen (oasis)

Myself and dh would love to go next year. As would most of the country I'm guessing ha ! The last concert I went to was Britney when I was 10 so I'm new to ticketmaster. Just reading through some threads on Reddit and I'm seriously thinking how the fuck are we even going to be in with a chance of getting tickets with the lengths some people go to?! Multiple devices, different WiFi connections, different sites etc etc
Why can't it just be simple ?? I know it's probably not going to happen for us but it does make me sad, Oasis wasn't my era, I was a child in the 90's but I do love their music and would love to see them live !

Just get up 5 mins before. Log on. Get ready and see if you get tickets.

No. You have to pre register to get a code and I think the deadline has passed now

AnywhereAnyoneAnyTime · 29/08/2024 22:43

The bookies are already offering odds on them not finishing the tour.

You also need a Ticketmaster account

is the Saturday sale limited to 4 tickets each as well as the presale? I’m trying to get 5 but don’t know if that’s possible. Any ideas on how best to do that? Wasn’t successful with the presale code unfortunately.

MugPlate · 29/08/2024 22:46

I saw in the T&Cs that Twickets is the official resale site. They do charge a fee but sellers must offer at face value or lower, so there’s a good chance of nabbing tickets that way even if you miss out.

AlwaysKindaKnewYoudBeTheDeathOfMe · 29/08/2024 22:46

Urgh it'll be full of coked up twats.

I would enjoy the memories and save the money. Chances of them not falling out by then are minimal.

I was just on Vinted and Oasis T-shirts are on there for £100+ 🙄

BCBird · 29/08/2024 22:47

An oasis in a desert of music?

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 29/08/2024 22:23

Blur were better 😉

But Pulp were the best 😉

commonground · 29/08/2024 22:48

I don't want to go, so that is one less person in the country. Might give you a chance😄

There will be tickets on sale nearer the time - maybe even on the day if you can hold your nerve for a twickets or ticketmaster resale.

Travis were a cracking live band, Fran Healy was a proper frontman and the guitar was always much heavier live especially with songs from good feeling

DD saw Travis the other week. I think they were supporting The Killers. She said they were brilliant.

No one knows if they’ve got a pre sale code yet

Summernightsinthe21stcentury · 29/08/2024 22:49

I'm confused about waiting rooms.
I have successfully entered a ballot for presale but as yet don't have a code.
I would love to go and see them., last time for me was 1997 I think! Very good concert, and I love the music but now it seems I am too old to understand the tech!

Apparently some people have codes already - according to twitter!

Gulbekian · 29/08/2024 22:50

They are dull in concert! Saw them in Germany in 2003. Yawnsville.

Oh that's interesting I haven't seen them in recent years, I saw them loads in the nineties/2000s and didn't want to ruin it if that makes sense! Might look for dates they are bound to be cheaper than oasis too

BCBird · 29/08/2024 22:51

Depeche Mode- wonderful as were Tom O'Dell and Seal. Pulp ace too. Blur's performance in last tour was better than when I'd seen them.previously.

Supersonictonic · 29/08/2024 22:16

Agree with PPs. I saw them the last time they were at Heaton Park and the supporting Kasabian outperformed them by a mile!

I went to knebworth and I must admit I left there a bigger ocean colour scene fan than Oasis. I'll still be trying to get tickets though

VanGoghsDog · 29/08/2024 22:53

pollypocet · 29/08/2024 21:56

If we don't get tickets then we don't, I think the point of my post was more how far people need to go to get tickets to see bands/artists.. it shouldn't be so hard or stressful

You don't "need" to though, it does give you more chances, but you don't need to. I often buy gig tickets that sell out quickly (OK, not Oasis, not Taytay, so maybe a bit different) and I usually log onto three devices. I set up numerous emails addresses to ensure I have enough codes if they are using them as often the codes don't work.

But you don't need to go to these lengths, plenty of other people get tickets. And there will always be resale tickets nearer the time, when people die down from the hype and remember how shite the actually are.

Nobody will be reselling in demand tickets on Twickets for face value.

All you ever get on there are FV or below for low demand events.

Scorchio84 · 29/08/2024 22:54

Yeah we're the same here @pollypocet so fingers crossed we all get tickets, we've said we'll travel to the UK if we have to, I know everyone is saying "why bother?" but I actually do like them & my OH loves them & while we have both seen them seperatly over the years it would be nice to see them together & for the nostalgia factor too

Good luck x

fruitbrewhaha · 29/08/2024 23:01

Rather than getting in a panic over oasis why don’t you go and see other bands? There are gigs on every night of the year, some good, some not so much, some cheap, some more expensive. Live music is great, get out and see some.

drang246 · 29/08/2024 23:07

It will be the same as Taylor Swift tickets. Lots of folk will try, some lucky or rich people will get tickets and many others won't. Personally I think it's all a bit overhyped.

The code is only for the pre sale. General sale on Saturday is every person for themselves

Remember OP it’s not just Ticketmaster that is selling the general sale, there are 3 stockists

For those who get a code tomorrow for pre sale I believe that can only be used on Ticketmaster

I have also got tickets before by going straight to the venue’s website but not sure if that option is available for Oasis

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 29/08/2024 23:12

I saw Oasis at Loch Lomond. Have applied for the pre sale ballot so fingers crossed.

I saw pulp at Bridlington recently. Was always a bigger fan of pulp.

MorningHood · 29/08/2024 23:12

LaerealSilverhand · 29/08/2024 22:02

They’ll be shit and the audience will consist of coked-up 50-something ‘lads’.

This!
