I have a lot of experience buying big event tickets mainly top sporting events such as football World Cup finals, Euro finals etc.
Some of the previous posters have given decent advice. There is always an element of luck so what you need to do is to increase your chances.
Use multiple devices. Get every phone, tablet and laptop in your house ready. Split between 5G and WiFi. Use as many different browsers on the same device at the same time as you can. For big events I’ll have at least 3 laptops and 2/3 mobiles each with at least 4 browsers open meaning 20+ individual sessions live.
The results are inconsistent and unpredictable so anyone claiming a specific device and browser is best are lying as it varies from event to event.
Log on from about 8.30am as it is not unknown for them to start queues early.
Once you reach a waiting room do not refresh the browser under any circumstances as it will chuck you out.
Have multiple payment cards ready as the banks fraud systems can kick in and block payments and you may not have time to resolve before the tickets are released back to the website. I had this happen for the recent England v Spain Euro final in Berlin and had I not had a second card with me I’d have lost the tickets.
Being prepared makes a huge difference. In the football world it’s invariably the same people who get the big match tickets all the time because they all employ similar tactics.
Finally if you do gain access and the tickets you want have sold out I’d advise buying anything that is available as you should be able to trade them for what you want before next Summer.
Good luck!
