For no particular reason?

DS just told me he had the nicest pot noodle ever earlier🤣 The flavour did sound quite nice, then I realised I’ve never had a pot noodle for some reason!

Nachos. They’ve never appealed to me.

Taleas0ldastime · 29/08/2024 19:22

Oysters, chickpeas, avacados, aubergines. There's probably more...that's all i can think of!

Tripe
I can't think of anything else off the top of my head! There are few foods I won't eat or wouldn't try tbh.

Pig ears

I tried pig's ears at a tapas restaurant in Spain last summer. I wouldn't recommend them.

lollyPaloozah · 29/08/2024 19:28

Any offal or seafood (apart from cod, smoked salmon or tuna)

Messen · 29/08/2024 19:29

Durian.
Heart (not keen on offal apart from liver)
Rambutan

scatters2004 · 29/08/2024 19:29

Squid. Doesn't appeal to me.

mitogoshi · 29/08/2024 19:31

I couldn't bring myself to try sheep's testicles but tried most other foods available in Europe (I've not eaten the crazy offerings in eg China but I've never been there)

mitogoshi · 29/08/2024 19:31

Oysters however are delicious, highly recommend with a little lemon juice squeezed on raw

JC03745 · 29/08/2024 19:32

I'm adventurous with food and will try anything. Jellyfish, hakarl (fermented shark), duck and chicken feet, pig ears, camel, croc, tripe etc.

I've never tried:
-Poutine (I've never been to Canada)
-Hosta plants, yes, apparently you can eat them!
-Surstomming
-Balut

invisiblecat · 29/08/2024 19:42

@MillshakePickle Wait - what? You've never tried fried bread??

I mean, I'm up there with you on the oysters and dragon fruit, but fried bread? You don't know what you're missing.

BitOutOfPractice · 29/08/2024 19:45

I haven’t read but I suspect there’ll have been some “ultra processed food” or “ready meals” or some such arsery.

I’ve never tried tripe. I was in Romania last week and tripe soup was on every menu. It was a no from me.

BobbyBiscuits · 29/08/2024 19:46

Sea urchins
Beluga caviar
That Spanish mollusc thing that's really expensive
Tripe
Pickled eggs

Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong · 29/08/2024 19:47

Nachos. They’ve never appealed to me.

Same. Crisps with melted cheese? Just why??

alldaybreakfastclub · 29/08/2024 19:48

Fish.
Any type of seafood really
The smell makes me so nauseous, I wish I could bring myself to try it, I just can't

Andoutcomethewolves · 29/08/2024 19:50

PoodlesRUs · 29/08/2024 19:25

Pig ears

I used to live in a country where these are a national delicacy. I've been offered them round people's houses a few times and... just no 🤢

Daisydoodog · 29/08/2024 19:51

I’ve never tried fish either. Or any kind of seafood. DP is always trying to convince me to try but I just refuse. Maybe I would like if I gave it a go but as some others of you have said I just can’t stand the smell or look of it

Also never tried black pudding as it looks awful
