What’s a food you’ve never tried?

For no particular reason?

DS just told me he had the nicest pot noodle ever earlier🤣 The flavour did sound quite nice, then I realised I’ve never had a pot noodle for some reason!

Oysters
Sweetbreads

Tripe
Pot noodles/ pasta type meals in a packet.
Ready meals except sandwiches
Olives

Nachos. They’ve never appealed to me.

Oysters, chickpeas, avacados, aubergines. There's probably more...that's all i can think of!

Loads. Off the top of my head,
chicken nuggets,
pot noodle,
most seafood,
hotdogs,
pate,
most offal,
blancmange,
omelette.

Pig ears

Tripe
I can't think of anything else off the top of my head! There are few foods I won't eat or wouldn't try tbh.

Weetabix

I tried pig's ears at a tapas restaurant in Spain last summer. I wouldn't recommend them.

Any offal or seafood (apart from cod, smoked salmon or tuna)

Durian.
Heart (not keen on offal apart from liver)
Rambutan

Squid. Doesn't appeal to me.

I couldn't bring myself to try sheep's testicles but tried most other foods available in Europe (I've not eaten the crazy offerings in eg China but I've never been there)

Oysters however are delicious, highly recommend with a little lemon juice squeezed on raw

I'm adventurous with food and will try anything. Jellyfish, hakarl (fermented shark), duck and chicken feet, pig ears, camel, croc, tripe etc.

I've never tried:
-Poutine (I've never been to Canada)
-Hosta plants, yes, apparently you can eat them!
-Surstomming
-Balut

Offal - have tried pate though and it's foul

I have eaten iguana, snake, swordfish, bear, emu, buffalo, bison, ostrich and a couple more strange ones I can't remember.

I mean, I'm up there with you on the oysters and dragon fruit, but fried bread? You don't know what you're missing.

I haven’t read but I suspect there’ll have been some “ultra processed food” or “ready meals” or some such arsery.

I’ve never tried tripe. I was in Romania last week and tripe soup was on every menu. It was a no from me.

The smell makes me so nauseous, I wish I could bring myself to try it, I just can't

I used to live in a country where these are a national delicacy. I've been offered them round people's houses a few times and... just no 🤢

I’ve never tried fish either. Or any kind of seafood. DP is always trying to convince me to try but I just refuse. Maybe I would like if I gave it a go but as some others of you have said I just can’t stand the smell or look of it

Also never tried black pudding as it looks awful
