I love these threads and haven't seen one for a while.

I haven't been eating much or very well these last few weeks as the hot weather curbs my appetite so I am hoping to get so inspiration from others and come September I am starting anew with healthy eating .

Have a prepared green salad and a bit of BBQ beef brisket, 2 packets of quavers (I have a problem, wanted 3), and 2 cappuccinos with ss milk. Am on a diet and pissed off as plateauing.

I'm genuinely amazed by how little so many people eat!

DrunkTinkerbell40s · 18/08/2024 22:59

Breakfast - two chicken thighs from yesterday's bbq

Lunch - cauliflower wrap

Dinner - two chicken thighs from yesterdays bbq followed by two bags of ready salted crisps

🙈

tfu · 18/08/2024 23:23

Water and black coffee first thing, then some chicken chipolatas in a bagel for brunch. Spent the whole afternoon swimming and drinking tons of water and then had some mushroom, tofu and broccoli noodles with kimchi on the side with a glass of wine. I was peckish after this so I snacked - some tortilla chips and hummus a mini magnum ice cream and some Greek yoghurt with cherries and walnuts. Just having a cup of ginger and lemon tea before I go to bed!

Firenzeflower · 19/08/2024 14:59

I'm on a oh soft food diet because of oral surgery.
Breakfast was a smoothie with a protein shake, added oats and two bananas.
Lunch was a Five Guys peanut butter milk shake. Then a bowl of butternut squash and ginger soup with red lentils.
For dinner I'm going to have baked beans with mash and cheese.

I had the op a week ago and I've lost 7 lbs so I need to up my calories a bit.

I'm genuinely surprised by how much some people eat. I have breakfast. I don't eat lunch, I have a snack, early dinner, because I have a hiatus hernia.firenzeflower you have my sympathy. Emergency dental appointment tomorrow. Double bottom tooth suddenly failed.i was told 10 years ago it had a hairline crack, not visible on X ray.other side exactly the same thing, but it disintegrated eating a granary roll.luckily I love smoothies!

So many breakfast dodgers! It’s safer for those around me for me to have breakfast. My hanger can be intense!

PTSDBarbiegirl · 19/08/2024 18:41

Sourdough toast with cheddar
2 crumpets for lunch
5 grapes
4 cups of tea
Chicken satay with rice

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 19/08/2024 18:41

Eating before about 12 makes me feel really nauseous.

I'm an evening eater, sadly. Worst eating pattern imo.

Me too! I'm not happy unless I'm eating every couple of hours....at least while I'm awake!😁

Prunes, Weetabix
Protein porridge with apple and berries
Home made toast with black bean spread, nectarine
Crudites, roasted seaweed, hummus on rice cakes, falafel, quarter of a vegan quiche, small pot of peaches
Berries, soya yoghurt, granola
Pkt square crisps

(Oh. And working Nightshift tonight. Taking half a tin roasted chickpeas, pkt lentil crisps, nkd bar, sesame snaps, homemade banana loaf and mini Flapjack).

Erm....ok, that does sound like quite a lot!😬

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 19/08/2024 18:53

B: sourdough toast with marmite, an apple spread with peanut butter, a clementine and some blueberries

L: Ryvita, some with hummus and some with cheese and avocado. Packet of mini cheddars.

D: pesto salmon, sweet potato wedges, broccoli, roasted pepper and feta. Then some dark chocolate

Same for me, I have zero appetite in the morning and often for most of the day. My hunger seems to switch on in the evening and I could eat a horse then.

No idea why my body clock is set like this. I have tried to change but just feel so nauseated first thing.

Wait for mine …

An avocado, medium.

Tbf, I’m aware I have orthorexia.

CalicoPusscat · 20/08/2024 04:23

It's been really shocking. I don't usually eat this little. Bit of an upsetting event Sunday night.

Ok so yoghurt and dried apricots
Ploughman's with fresh bread
Fruit, nuts and more cheese
EDIT: and a large pot of trifle, forgot about that

I'll stuff my face today though to make it for it.

I was just thinking that too! I eat loads 🤭
However, I eat healthily, so I'm a healthy weight, with a good BMI.
I'd be permanently hungry if I ate as little as some posters on this thread.

Yesterday - porridge with soya milk and mango. Huge bowl of rice, beans and masses of veg. Two bowls of homemade lentil and veg soup with several Ryvitas. In addition - snacks eaten - an orange, a banana, half a nectarine and some blueberries, a few squares of 70% dark chocolate. Not necessarily in that order.
Tbh that was low food day for me. I can eat loads more. I just love food and eating! 😋

CalicoPusscat · 20/08/2024 07:30

@ProgressivePilgrim you'll be pleased to hear I kicked off the day with an omelette and cheese sandwich 😁

And some fruit. It's natural to eat less at times of stress.

Black coffee is all I can manage.

Ive tried so many times to force myself to eat breakfast but it's torture.

I'd not be anywhere near as fat as I am if I could eat little and often rather than the starve and binge cycle I'm stuck in.

Perfectlystill · 20/08/2024 07:47

A piece of toast and honey. I'm going to the gym in half an hour and usually have yoghurt and nuts and berries and seeds etc but this morning woke up longing for toast and honey.

I've got this really nice sourdough- think it's called Jason's- with bits in it. Small slices so I don't feel too bad having toast rather than something more health-giving.

Firenzeflower · 20/08/2024 09:55

Still on a soft diet. So I had porridge with added grinded up nuts, seeds and a bit of cacoa. Made with milk and water then I threw on some cherry compote stuff. Rather yummy.

I need to up the calories though.
