I love these threads and haven't seen one for a while.

I haven't been eating much or very well these last few weeks as the hot weather curbs my appetite so I am hoping to get so inspiration from others and come September I am starting anew with healthy eating .

Breaksfast -2 cups tea and 2 slices sourdough with jam
Mid morning snack-Packet low fat crisps
Lunch- Sourdough baguette with cheese,tomato and onion done in air fryer with cucumber slices.apple
Mid afternoon snacks: didnt stop doing things all afternoon and shoved these down my throat out and about- Chocolate wafer biscuit,nut protein bar,Sugar free choc chip cookie
dinner- cod in Chinese marinade,cauliflower,sugar snap peas and brown rice

All of above between 8.30am and 5.30pm!! Am trying hard now to resist an evening slice of toast

Sourdough with salted butter and an apple.
Homemade lasagne, garlic bread and garden salad, eton mess and a chocolate.
Handful of grapes and some mixed nuts/raisins/cranberries.

Breakfast - coffee and toast

Lunch - tuna crunch salad with x3 crackers (tuna, red pepper, cucumber, cornichons, white cabbage, avocado, all super finely chopped up and mixed with some mustard & soft cheese in lieu of mayo)

Dinner - hoisin chicken with rice, broccoli & edamame beans

Snacks - nectarine, x2 maryland cookies, piece of cheese

Might have some chocolate later as well

Homemade energy ball thing x 2
Small piece of leftover fritata

2 eggs scrambled and small amount of smoked salmon on one slice brown toast. Tea

Glass of Pepsi Max

Apple

Roast chicken (no skin), boiled potatoes, spinach, brocoli, carrots.

Greek 5% yoghurt with 2 sliced nectarines.

Tea

4 squares of Lidl dark chocolate with hazelnuts.

Need to drink more water!!!

Porridge with prunes. Ice cream, yogurt. Macaroni cheese. Not a usual day, but I've got pain in my gum,my tooth large back double is falling out,it's suddenly happened. I was told 10 years ago,it had a hairline crack. It just started moving a few days ago. Emergency dental appointment Tuesday. I didn't want to eat anything hard,in case it fell out and left me in pain.

Lunch on a train: M&S smoked salmon and lentil salad, pot of mango pieces and berries
Dinner from Itsu: a tofu salad thing with sushi rice, pepper, edamame beans, carrot and avocado, half a pot of miso soup
A few Haribos this afternoon
Water, 2 cups of tea with oat milk, a can of flavoured sparkling water

Toasted teacake for breakfast Piece of pork pie for lunch with an apricot
Crab linguine and salad for dinner. Some of my husbands Parmesan & truffle fries (we went out).

Snacking on Lindt chocolates all day that my friend brought to the party (because hungover)
Two small beers (because hair of the dog)

Well a bit rubbish

so I’ll just list the fruit I have eaten 😂

raspberries and a banana at breakfast

tomatoes and peppas in my lunch

pear and a banana

mushrooms and green beans ( purposely made sure there was enough to make a full portion of 5 a day )

8 is not bad going

im trying to eat better. Unfortunately everything else wasn’t that good 😳

have only had 3 coffee chocolate mint things , so at least I have done well with the sugar/ chocolate input

oh two glasses of water 💧

This is the kind of day to day food plan I’m aiming for.
I have IBS and a few other health issues and hoping that dropping my carbs and eating a bit cleaner may help.
Do you normally eat low carb? Do you find you feel well on it?

I have Crohns and it’s taken me a long time to work out what I can eat without a flare up. I tend to stick to a very basic diet. I don’t eat many carbs as they’ve brought on flare ups in the past. I was tested for coeliac many years ago and for all I’m not coeliac gluten does affect me. I tend to stick to a high protein diet and feel really well on that.

Hmmm, not great.
B: chocolate star with milk. 2 cups of tea, also with milk.
L:, tuna mayo salad sandwich on Tiger bread. Mango. 0% fat yogurt. Pint of squash.
MA: cup of tea, 2 coconut macaroons that a visitor brought. Can of Pepsi max. G&T while cooking dinner.
D: Homemade Mexican chicken in a cheesy tomato sauce, potato wedges, green beans. 2 glasses of white wine.
S: cup of tea, small homemade chocolate brownie.

And I've only done about 3k steps today 😔

I'm supposed to be low-carbing, because it really helps my autoimmune condition and I want to lose a few pounds. It's been difficult as we've had several birthdays this week plus DD's stupendous A-level results to celebrate.

Buttermilk chicken burger with salad and a few chips

A crumpet with butter

Some grapes

May as well join in.
Pain au chocolate for breakfast.
Lattes I don't count but throughout day maybe 5.
Dragon fruit that DS insisted on buying and then refused to eat because it tastes like beetroot. Yum -not.
Egg mayo sandwich for both lunch and dinner because there was some left over and didn't want to waste it. I didn't inflict this on the DCs.
Strawberries
Olives
A packet of discos there now.

I'm having a few days away with dd in London for Taylor Swift. So all bets are off

Breakfast one slice toast, coffee, blueberries
Train snack Half a pack of chocolate pretzels, water
Lunch (DDs choice) Burger King. Plant based whopper, 3 chili cheese bites (no fries), water
Starbucks bucks caramel frappacino
Dinner, shared 3 small plates, butternut squash hummus, Burrata and red pepper sauce, calamari

We enjoyed debating the singular of calamari. I was pushing for calamarus but dd is learning Italian and feels strongly that it's calamaro, and I expect she's right.

Didn't bother with breakfast, so had half a ham and mustard bun at lunchtime, followed by a dairylea dunker.
Mid afternoon, an orange club biscuit and a skinny dream bar.
Dinner was a cauliflower cheese grill, sweet potato fries and beans, followed by a raspberry fat free yoghurt.

Breakfast: seeded toasted bread with cream cheese, celery and cracked black pepper sandwich with tea
Lunch: made an orzo shrimp dish made with tomatoes, peas and red pepper with feta cheese crumbled on top
Dinner: just had leftovers from lunch because I couldn't be bothered
And tea with 3 quality street chocolates
