I love these threads and haven't seen one for a while.

I haven't been eating much or very well these last few weeks as the hot weather curbs my appetite so I am hoping to get so inspiration from others and come September I am starting anew with healthy eating .

B - Banana protein shake
L - Chicken breast, salad leaves from the garden and cherry tomatoes
D - Trout, broccoli and green beans.

This is the kind of day to day food plan I’m aiming for.
I have IBS and a few other health issues and hoping that dropping my carbs and eating a bit cleaner may help.
Do you normally eat low carb? Do you find you feel well on it?

Biomel drink
Banana, oat and peanut butter cookies
Leftover chicken with red pepper, spinach and vegan cheese
A small piece of chocolate
Rice, tuna, spinach and vegan cheese

Maybe later I'll have a snack. Probably a kiwi or an apple with peanut butter, something small

Do you have Biomel regularly? I’m thinking of trying these to see if they’ll help my IBS.

I’ve eaten terribly today
No set times just picked when I felt like it

AM - Asda raisin pancakes which left a horrible taste in my mouth
packet of crisps
one small banana

Then went hours without anything and had fried new potatoes with runner beans and broccoli at 8pm followed by some fruit n nut

I don’t usually eat so randomly and terribly and regretting it now as very bloated.

Oof I’m having a rough time with Crohn’s. Waiting to start new meds so currently not taking anything. I’m flaring and feel ROUGH. My appetite is shit.

Today I had a black coffee
Some blueberry wheats (those Shredded wheat with fillings)
One piece of toast and butter at lunch time. A few crisps.
A Tuc cracker
I fancied dinner so managed half a plate of chilli and rice.

Lyricallie · 18/08/2024 20:31

So I started with a slice of leftover pizza for breakfast but it does get better after that.
Avocado toast for lunch on a ciabatta sub.
Then mushroom pie with mash and carrots for dinner.

I did play a lot of sport today so going to pretend that’s why I can go so heavy on the carbs. Currently contemplating some chocolate.

I realised to my horror recently that I’ve put on at least a stone and a half since DC2. I keep having a crack at losing weight and have foolishly done the typical starvation diet, losing weight then losing the plot and eating too much again. So today is my first day of trying to eat a bit more sensibly without hugely restricting and making slightly better choices. I’ve done it before and it does work but having two very young DC does make it harder !!

Breakfast: slice of toast and jam, cup of tea

Lunch: soup (leek and potato and cheese), coconut yoghurt and an apple

Snack: babybel and a couple of crackers, cup of tea

Dinner: salmon with sweet chilli and soy, rice, green veg, one small spring roll

Enchantedlilypad · 18/08/2024 20:44

I love these threads, I find them reassuring as I struggle with an eating disorder and always worry I'm eating too much.

Breakfast- muesli with raisins & oat milk
Lunch- 2 egg courgette & pepper omelette with half an avocado
Dinner- cheesy vegetable pie (mash pie)
Snack- homemade vegan natural mixed berry crumble with Greek yogurt.

No breakfast as I was going out for a Sunday Lunch and I didn't want to spoil it (we were eating at 12.30)

I had a traditional 'roast beef dinner' which, whilst it was a beautiful lunch, was disappointingly small (and I don't eat big portions either...but this was really small!)

2 x halves of roast potato (so one VERY small potato!)

1 x slice of beef - beautifully cooked but ONE slice??

What I can only describe as a 'sliver' of a carrot...literally one tiny slice of carrot!

1 x 'dwarf' head of that very thin broccoli (a minuscule shred)

About a tablespoon of red cabbage in some kind of syrup (so sweet red cabbage)

One small Yorkshire Pudding

Gravy (which was actually really generously poured on, and I suspect there were more calories in that than the rest of the lunch 🤣)

The men in our party were open mouth shocked at the tiny plate of food presented. We all thought that they would bring dishes of vegetables to the table, but no 🤷‍♀️

I've never come away from a pub Sunday Lunch hungry before 🤣

It wasn't cheap either at £23.50 - in Lincolnshire!!

Ah well...as I said, the actual food was really tasty, just needed a bit more really!

I came home and had two Jaffa cakes and a bag of crisps 👌🏻

Oh no!! I bet you regret skipping breakfast for that!

Bignanna · 18/08/2024 20:49

S- strawberry cornetto and a banana.

No breakfast

Tuna/sweetcorn sandwich with a small packet of walkers baked crisps

Small portion of spaghetti Bol with a big side salad.

changedusernameforthis1 · 18/08/2024 21:05

Sorry, nothing vaguely interesting here unfortunately.
A coffee for breakfast, soup and bread for lunch, a handful of dairy milk chocolate for a snack and then chicken, yorkshire pudding and veg with gravy for dinner (potatoes cause me a lot of stomach issues so I try to avoid them).

I'll usually have either a slice of toast or a yoghurt before bed. The muller corner bliss cheesecake ones are amazing!

Do you have Biomel regularly? I’m thinking of trying these to see if they’ll help my IBS.

I've only just started. I'm seeing if it helps my IBS, too. I've got to say it's been about 5 days and I feel maybe 5-10% improvement. But I've read that it can take anywhere between 2-12 weeks to feel a big difference. Worth a shot I suppose!

quickturtle · 18/08/2024 21:14

A sausage roll
A banana
Some microwave rice with spring onion and soy sauce

Willyoushutthefrontdoor · 18/08/2024 21:14

2 weetabix with almond milk but not till 12 as was busy this morning.
The fella then made a chicken dinner for tea time, which was delicious.
Half a tub of low cal salted caramel ice cream.
