Who are you really jealous of?

I’ll start. A woman I know, we’ll call her K. My friends all worship her and cancel plans to hang out with her because she IS objectively more fun to be around.

She’s happy, bubbly and energetic. She’s meticulously clean and tidy and her house is beautiful. Her husband is doting and loving, would do anything to make her happy. And she has no kids 🤣

Worst part is I love her just as much as everyone else because she’s genuinely great so can’t even get mad.

Who is your biggest source of immature teen-like jealousy?

Any woman who has a finished, renovated functioning kitchen 😀

BlueBorrage · 18/08/2024 16:53

My cat. No job, no responsibility. Lie down in the sun and eat and sleep most day with expectations others will clean after, play with and take care of.

I'm jealous of lots of people. I came from an abusive household so whenever I see young adults who have a great relationship with their parents, yup, definitely feel some jealousy and sadness. But I'm also happy for them. It's a mixed bag!

thursdaymurderclub · 18/08/2024 17:08

my step children! all adults, and no matter what they do or say, no matter what trouble they get into, their dad still won't chastise them!

Friends with lovely parents and families that they spend time with .

Me and dh haven't got that and it makes me so sad . I wish I belonged somewhere and had that .

Nothing else makes me jealous as most things are choices and can be changed

Princess of Wales before the cancer

EmeraldRoses · 18/08/2024 17:16

Anyone who has got a normal, intelligent, caring, hygienic partner/husband as they're are like finding a diamond in a hey stack

Ratfinkstinkypink · 18/08/2024 17:18

No one really. Everyone has things in their life that I wouldn't want in mine, there is no one I would want to swap with.

Anyone who lives in a beautiful cottage, with a beautiful country garden. They look so cosy. 😍

EscapingTheseFeelings · 18/08/2024 17:34

Mines a general one - people who are comfortable in their own skin and seem free to be themselves. People who are loved and accepted and know it.

BlessThisMess · 18/08/2024 17:40

People who have really properly happy marriages

Anyone who retired or will retire early

Anyone who will retire financially comfortable

louderthan · 18/08/2024 20:13

I'm jealous of two of my friends who have their own horses.

DustyMaiden · 18/08/2024 20:21

Absolutely no one, I’ve never felt jealous.

invisiblecat · 18/08/2024 20:23

Nobody. I'm old enough to know that people's lives on the inside are not what others see from the outside.

frecklejuice · 18/08/2024 20:27

People who have lovely parents that are interested in their lives and also great loving grandparents who want to spend time with their grandchildren.

More lighthearted beautiful/slim women who can get up in the morning and throw clothes on knowing they will look lovely!

BCBird · 18/08/2024 20:30

No one. It not because my life is great- far from it.

RiksBottom · 18/08/2024 20:34

women who have an easy menopause and drift gently from their unproblematic periods with no pain and few other symptoms to a normal life, much the same as before but without the bleeding. They do exist and i envy them horribly.

GagaBinks · 18/08/2024 20:40

People who have family members who say things along the lines of "let me take the kids for a couple of hours so you can sleep/date night/enjoy being child free for a bit".

I'd love to have some time with just my husband again, but we have no-one.
