Can anyone recommend a really lovely, long lasting reed diffuser please?

I know not everyone likes them, but can those of you who do, have any recommendations for a lovely, long-lasting one. I usually buy Valente ones, which smell glorious but they only seem to last about 4 weeks and they've dried up. They're not especially cheap either and I don't have a lot of spare dosh at the moment. Noted that they are hardly an essential, but they are a wee hint of joy that I like in my kitchen. 😊

The Valente ones are very short lived, despite their claims. I’ve got a Next one at the moment, which, whilst not amazing, smells pleasant and isn’t expensive. I’ve also had a White Company one from the sale, but that didn’t last long either.

Jo Malone. Not cheap though.

Wax Lyrical do some lovely ones. I have a few and they do the refills as well.

You get nose blind to the smell after a while.

I like Rituals Reed diffusers, I pick 2 different scents and alternate them, just keep the stopper and put the reeds in a bag. The Private Collection ones last ages, remember to turn the reeds around too as that increases the smell.

St Eval are good

I bought a spiced pumpkin one from Primark two weeks ago which actually fills the room with scent. It's half evaporated, however, but at £3 it was a bargain.

Another vote for St Eval, especially Bay and Rosemary. Wish they would bring back their room sprays :(

I'm disappointed in the latest Valente ones I've had, they were completely dry after a month. I had a gorgeous Dunelm one which lasted about 3 months but they don't seem to do it anymore. Will check out St Eval, thank you.

Arran Sense of Scotland. At £35 they're not cheap but they last for ages and lots of choice of fragrance.

CraftyNavySeal · 17/08/2024 10:38

Third vote for St Eval, they do refills which are £15 so reasonable. I’m on my 4th bottle of Bay and Rosemary

LoneHydrangea · 17/08/2024 10:39

Best one I’ve ever had is from Rituals. It lasts for months.

Please look up Kandlers Table. They are amazing and made by a small business in Harrogate. I don't go anywhere else now.

I love St Eval. I've got a sweet pea one which is lasting ages and smells lovely.

I'm surprised by the negative comments about Valentte.
I have them in most rooms in my home, as long as you don't position them right by a window (I find they dry up quicker there) mine seem to last about 3 months.
They also fill the whole room with fragrance.
I've always been impressed.

Aromaworks from Waitrose.

GabrielOakRose · 17/08/2024 11:05

St Eval did an advent calendar with tea lights last year, so you can find out which scent you like from them.

olivecapes · 17/08/2024 11:07

I've given up on them, unless you're fragrancing a very small space the safer formulas now simply don't have the throw they used to have. Similar to perfumes.

NAndJIsLockingDown · 17/08/2024 11:08

The Heals ones I've had have lasted for yonks.

Overtheatlantic · 17/08/2024 11:11

Sicilian Lemon and Thyme from Soho House. Expensive but gorgeous and lasts.

WildAndFree123 · 17/08/2024 11:15

Shearer candles ones are lovely and last for months.

JLbaby · 17/08/2024 11:17

St Eval or Plum & Ashby, the p&a ones have lasted absolutely ages in my house!

Hadalifeonce · 17/08/2024 11:21

I buy Stone glow from RHS. They seem to last for ever.

Can anyone recommend a really lovely, long lasting reed diffuser please?
RiksBottom · 17/08/2024 11:51

the Fragonard ones are gorgeous - M&S do them, but at £35 they are a treat. They do last - the Lemongrass and Corriander is really fresh and lasts.

Does anyone want to send a 20% off invite who has ordered before from st eval? I signed to the newsletter to get 10% off but it's only sent me an offer to invite anyone and get 20% off which is no good for the order I want to make now 😆
