In our house it was the Zapper or the Button Presser

My nan called it the Wobbler

In my friends house it was the Bipper

Same here except we nicked the batteries out of the TV remote so have issues if it's been on for 4 hours, tv goes into standby and the Sky remote can't stop it!

Wow I thought my name was common but no-one has said it yet. I call it a blipper. I see other Mners have said bipper and blibber but am I really the only one to call it a blipper?!

Yes I know that's what some people call the actual TV but that's what my mum and grandparents always called the remote!

My Dad used to call it a digeridoo and it got shortened to Doo Doo courtesy of my young son who couldn't say it.

My parents always used to call it the Medieval Source of Power, having read a somewhat pretentious article in the early days of them becoming prevalent about patriarchal tendencies in who had control of the remote within households.

I regret to admit that it's "the beep beep". One of the kids called it that, and it stuck.

It's "the buttons" in our house but growing up my parents used to call it a "Doot doot". No idea why 😂😂
