Do you look good for your age?

Weird question I know. I get so surprised by some people's ages. Like I can't believe they are older than I think they are in my head, or younger. I used to get IDd long after I was 18. Now I would say i definitely look my age and people would probably guess within a year or two. I try to look after my skin but there's only so much you can do!

I agree that attractive, good looking people don’t necessarily look younger than their age. The reverse is also true. Just because you look young that does not mean you are good looking.
In general I think short, plump people look younger.
Those with thinner faces look older but, thin faces are often more attractive.
Having your own style is attractive but doesn’t necessarily make you young looking.
I have a couple of relatives who are late 20s. Both could pass for 6th form students. They are not drop dead gorgeous just look a lot younger. They are very pale and thin, thin to point of ill looking, like a child almost.

If someone asked if you were the mother to your DGD, I’d assume they were just being cautious/polite. I have done the same many times when speaking to strangers - just erring on the side of caution because some women have children very late and I wouldn’t want to offend them. It doesn’t mean that I actually think the 60 year old granny in the park with her ten year old DGD looks 45.

I also do this. You're less likely to offend with an incorrect guess of them being the mother.

@Holidayhell22 I agree, attractiveness isn’t simply about looking younger. I know someone irl who I’d guess is around 60. She’s always so well put together, she looks fab. She doesn’t look young, she’s well-dressed, well-styled hair and makeup.

Ironically, she has far more stress and responsibility in her life than most people, but she somehow makes time to focus on her appearance as well.
