Yes, bit discreetly. I once told small ds to go in the sea and wee (he was desperate with poor advance signals and loo was miles away) expecting him to sit and wee. Nope. Ankle deep. Dropped his shorts and peed out into the sea. Full beach got a view of his bum

😂😂😂😂

You need to master the Not Giving A Toss face though, especially if you have a husband that will yell “are you empty now?”

No never it's disgusting. Just go find a toilet. This is also why our beaches are full of litter. People are too lazy to put it in the bin or take their rubbish home with them.

@Mamma1982

its not disgusting. Where I mostly swim in the sea it's miles from a toilet. A wee in the sea is not going to make the slightest difference.

i would NEVER leave rubbish anywhere (other than a bin)

coffeeaddict83 · 11/08/2024 07:07

Yes, always. Feels far cleaner than using any beach toilets while wet. I do nonchalantly swim far from other people first though to make sure they aren't swimming in it before it dilutes to homeopathic levels (great analogy from a pp). I don't move costume but I do then swim around for ages and properly wash it in machine when home (or with travel wash in sink if on holiday).

Never in a pool. Never a poo in either.

coffeeaddict83 · 11/08/2024 07:08

I never leave litter anywhere. Not at all the same. Pee in the sea has no impact on others or the environment. In fact it saves some water from a flush.

My mum used to send us into the sea if we said we needed a wee when we were at the beach.
I don’t know where the rumour started that if you pee in a pool sometimes it’ll make the water around you go pink, but that was enough to stop me doing it!

There is zero correlation between weeing in the sea and littering

I remember a woman at a hotel we stayed in once could never be bothered to walk the 15m to the toilets when she needed a wee and she used to swim very slowly along the side of the pool a couple of times each day. I assume she didn't realise that she was leaving a very noticeable yellow streak in her wake her each time 😆😆😆

I do agree that it's not nice to wee in a swimming pool but I can't believe that some people are actually saying it's disgusting to wee in the sea! Urine is very effective at relieving the pain from jellyfish stings as I found out on my honeymoon when I got one wrapped round my leg. 😆😆

If it's good enough for the fishes....
