53 and can put my hands under my feet - that'll be all the yoga.

raspberrymeringue · 08/08/2024 18:51

64 and yes. Diagnosed hypermobile though.

Lessstressedhemum · 08/08/2024 18:52

58, I can put my hands on the floor. Can also touch my forehead to my knee in a seated hamstring stretch

Can you squat with your heels fat on the floor? I can after a lot of collagen.
Still can't kneel with my arse on my heels though.

knees don't allow now. I went hip deep in a bog walking dogs in the dark. Had to pull myself out and trashed both knees.

Dearg · 08/08/2024 18:53

63 and yes.

BigDahliaFan · 08/08/2024 18:54

I’ve never been able to, even thou I could cartwheel and handstands etc as a kid.

Scarletrunner · 08/08/2024 18:54

71, yes, easily, but I have long arms.

Starrysilver · 08/08/2024 18:54

65, yes & flat hands

the80sweregreat · 08/08/2024 18:55

59 and yes ( not fit though )

DazedAndConfused321 · 08/08/2024 18:56

20, no. I have arthritis

gardenmusic · 08/08/2024 18:58

67 and yes, can also do reverse prayer.
I have a ridiculous wingspan.

perhapsatea · 08/08/2024 18:59

I can full palm, mid forties - slim but no exercise, sat at desk all day, really unfit and not sporty when young. My daughter is 12, slim, very sporty and can't. Which makes me think it might just be a thing that some builds allow for and not a marker of health.

outdamnedspots · 08/08/2024 19:00

53
Yes

Merro · 08/08/2024 19:02

5'8" aged 66 and can put my hands flat on the floor. That's in spite of multiple health conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and back problems.
I could always do it but I suspect my continuing flexibility is partly down to pilates.
I'm surprised so many can't. I always thought it was a male v female division. None of the men at pilates can touch their toes and none of the men in my family can. Including super fit DSs in their 20s.

Yes to both of these, too.

Manzana · 08/08/2024 19:03

63 and yes, flat hands on the floor, trying to remain flexible

ChildlessCatLadiesRuleOK · 08/08/2024 19:04

I don't think so, but then, I've never needed to.

Donotneedit · 08/08/2024 19:04

It’s got absolutely nothing to do with age, I did a dance degree and most people couldn’t at the start. Either you are naturally bendy or you have to work at it. Being less flexible has advantages, your body will be stronger. Don’t worry about it :)

Fifferfefferfeff · 08/08/2024 19:05

50 yes. I do cartwheels, too.

alrightluv · 08/08/2024 19:06

50 yes. I do cartwheels, too.

One thing I've always wished I could do. 56 now no chance.

DancingPhantomsOnTheTerrace · 08/08/2024 19:06

32 and no.

But I've never been able to. I used to do gymnastics and trampoline as a child/teenager (admittedly I wasn't great), and now I do yoga, weights and running. Reasonably fit and healthy, just never been very bendy!

HowIrresponsible · 08/08/2024 19:06

45 yes.

Oneblindmouse · 08/08/2024 19:07

64 and yes I can touch my toes. Can touch the floor too, but not put my palms on the floor.

imhavinghoops · 08/08/2024 19:08
  1. Never. Not even as a child.
Meadowfinch · 08/08/2024 19:13

61 and I can put my palms on the floor. Alll thanks to ds insisting I practise karate with him for the last decade.😊
